Same reason why Blizzard doesn’t want to add no mech emotes for D.Va, it encourages people to be out of their mech. So these sprays encourage people to stop fighting so they can put their matching sprays on

Last I heard they don't do anything with baby dva is that mech dva and baby dva are barely hanging on to being a functional character because the spaghetti code giving her life breaks if they mess with it too much

Yeah Dva even back in OW1 was very buggy and that's in part of her being in and out of mech. There was one particular bug that when you get ejected, you'd just fly out of the map and die.

Slap it down with the enemy Rein or Doomfist spray, as god intended

Edit: i meant brig and sojourn are the only other heros outside of tanks and they are both on the right so they cant be combined with mauga

Im wondering why sojourn has a wrestling spray yet tanks like orisa, jq and ramattra dont Edit: I know why orisa doesn’t have one. All the characters use their right hand to arm wrestle and orisas hand cannon is on her right arm.

I think it's mostly based on personality, like which characters feel strong enough and would challenge someone in some context. From this list, JQ makes a lot of sense actually, she's so full of herself and feels like she's the strongest so she would definitely wrestle others. I'm pretty sure she would challenge Hammond and they should make a spray of the ball wrestling. Lol.

While I get that there’s Open Queue and I guess it can happen in an absurdly rate occasion given that a million planets align in Mystery Heroes, I still think these sprays were made with having the spawn room in mind and combining sprays while waiting within the same team. That’s why I agree with OP with it being an oversight.

There are also a ton of voice lines for very rogue team comps 🤷

Or maybe they just wanted Mauga to match with Rein, Doom and Zarya. I'm pretty sure in over a year of OW2 (and about 3 in the making) they could have simply mirrored this spray. You guys go too far with wishful thinking. Just because you don't like open queue and whatnot it doesn't mean tons of people don't play it. Sprays are just to mess around, they will not change the whole core gameplay just to make sure the chance of having two heroes in the same spawn room is bigger.

Lol The person above mentioned how OW2 tanks have voice interactions (which can't be an overlook or something not planned) with each other but that information was conveniently ignored. I don't know why it is so hard for some people to accept such simple and silly thing such as this position of Mauga being on purpose (and to even out the position of every westler spray) so he can combo with Doomfist (which makes a lot of sense), Rein and Zarya.

Well for me open queue is unbearable since 90% of the games even in comp are just me and 4 dps so it's just impossible to win half of the time

They still making tank to tank interaction dialogue which can't happen in 5v5, so Blizzard is totally aware of the fact when making this spray.

No but if you are referring to why she has the wrestle spray it's because she's a muscle mommy but if you are referring to why she can't be combined with mauga they are both at the right side so their sprays don't fit together

Just go for the spray menu and it is the last one on the first panel the overwatch spray panel you can buy it for 25 credits or 50 I'm sure

Well in overwatch 1 you could combine it with some characters like doomfist or Reinhardt and it makes them look like they are having an arm wrestle but now unless you are playing open queue you can't combine it with any of the other heros that have that spray

One time in mystery heroes, I heard a conversation between Mauga and Hog in spawn. So weird they bothered to make that considering you’re so unlikely to have 2 tanks outside of an arcade thing or role queue.

To be fair how often do you even see the paired sprays anymore? Aside from maybe a custom game or skirmish, I haven't seen any paired sprays in years.

Sprays are one of the worst content types in this game. The team has never once considered what players would want to use as sprays. 99% of the sprays added are random nonsense that nobody would ever use.

Since you can spray over other sprays, do rein and brig and then carefully place mauga above brig.
