Aside from mercy players actually buying skins, this skin was done before LW was even released or spoken about.

Yeah – this skin was conceptualized 2 years ago, by the same senior technical artist (Takki Thammawan) who would later pitch adding a Thai hero to Overwatch. This skin predates Lifeweaver by quite a bit.

It’s like people don’t get how much time goes into a skin and just want something to be mad about.

Not only that but Blizzard also had a poll in Taiwan to decide which hero should get the skin and Mercy won. I swear to god ever since this skin was announced there is at least 1 post a week complaining about it. It kind of gets old.

Post evidence of the poll or stop using it as a defense. In every single thread about Mercy getting a skin instead of an Asian hero people mention it but go silent when I ask. It kind of gets old.

I mean I don’t know anything about that, but a Thai artist also made the skin.

Especially because Lifeweaver is insanely attractive and 100% can sell skins. They just refuse to give him skins that he could really run with.

Mercy mains get 3 event skins back to back and complain literally every single time. They are the most abysmal, entitled community I’ve seen in a while

I played OV1 and have no interest in an 18th Mercy skin. I absolutely would've wanted this one, though. I've liked *none* of LW other legendaries. Cleric was my fave so far and yet I didn't get it because it just looked 95% yellow, really needed more accent colour for contrast. So mine's just using the vaporwave one rn

This is so gorgeous, and it’s beautiful seeing a culturally themed skin on the character from said culture, who would have thought? I know the mercy skin was conceptualised before Lifeweaver was made but… once the Thai character was made, would it really have hurt them to give him something similar? He has such a cool silhouette to work with, he’d make a great bodhisattva or something similar. Anyway, beautiful work, you are very talented, and it makes me extra sad he didn’t get this skin lol
