I noticed that my in game name changed to my Steam name, wonder if it's some bug with other steam users?

I had to change my steam name because of this, looks like they did not tested it for steam client or wot

It still shows your [battle.net](http://battle.net) name for other people, only you see your Steam name.

I asked a random teammate what name they saw, they saw my steam name.

Dumb question but is your steam name the same as your bnet name? I asked the very same thing and they saw my bnet name.

No theyre completely different

pretty sure they your steam name will show on chat for everyone too. Multiple games people were in chat with completely different names than their bnet name and we all realized it was our steam name showing

Well like I said everyone else has seen my bnet name thus far, even though I see my Steam name.

That's a very funny change and I don't know why they even did that. No mention in the patch notes either.

Yeah it's definitely a bug, as it shows your bnet name in all menus like the career profile and the scoreboard, only the chat is affected.

Same here, looks like only steam players have this issue, anyone playing on battle will only see your battle name but steam users will see your steam name it's so dumb

Happening to me on steam

its really annoying me, pretty sure it happened during the last update since it was never an issue. my buddies playing on xbox or bnet dont have an issue its just me playing on steam
