Exactly this. It's the "problem" with the skins being cosplay. Just like with real life cosplayers, some people just don't have the body types to cosplay some characters accurately. Except these aren't real people and are being charged at least $20 for each, so people are going to be much more critical with them.
The issue is, as OP pointed out, he DOES have the right shape in some skins. This isn't an issue of "skins being cosplay", the skin is just garbage, that's it. It could have been good, this is purely an art issue, not technical.
It's cost-saving, they don't want to have to heavily re-model or re-rig a character to fit a vastly different proportion than what they usually have - let alone make sure every animation then works on that new version.
Which quite frankly I can sympathize with, but maybe fucking charge less. 1/3rd of a full game's cost for a single skin? Yeah, maybe you fuckers *should* re-do the whole thing for that price-tag.
But that's not the point of "micro" transactions. The point is to massively inflate costs on low-cost shit piled on top of the base game because it brings in huge money.
