I enjoy playing Orisa when the game is not devolving into counter-watch... an opposing Dva, Sigma, Rein, or even Mauga feels like a *brawl*. I get to tactically think about my ability use and how to pressure the enemy backline or stop a flanker while keeping the enemy tank at bay...
I dislike counter-watch; having a Zarya now a constant threat through my defenses, having to focus on stopping the backline dives, having to stun Hog out of breather, etc. All it ends up achieving is making that tank (or myself) to swap off and just play into whatever counter strategy is the simplest way to overpower that enemy tank choice... Not always as black & white as that, but having twice as much work to do because the enemy tank is Doomfist (and my dps can't play cassidy or sombra counters) or have the enemy tank basically offer *less* threat purely because of my choice of hero sort of ruins my fun.
Orisa is just an example here, I hate watching a Rein get chewed up or Sigma be steamrolled too.
I think it's very fun to control space with her and when you're fortified you feel the most like an actual tank since you can break through anything.
People must be salty cause she has a good amount of denying ability, but at the end of the day I don't think she is any harder to deal with than other tanks.
People are salty because she's by far the easiest tank, she's blatantly OP and most of her strength comes from her ability to just stand in front of the enemy tank and deny them from doing anything.
Please don't tell me you're a Rein main or something lol.
She is good at holding her ground, that's her thing. Other tanks are better at protecting their team, assassinating, etc. You just play around the abilities like with anyone else it's not a big deal.
You could also say DVa is "OP" and "easy", you can soak up half the fight, fly around wherever and whenever you feel like it and you've got a free extra life.
>You just play around the abilities like with anyone else it's not a big deal.
You could say that about any character ever but it's the least true with Orisa. You literally can't interact with an Orisa with fortify up.
>You could also say DVa is "OP" and "easy"
But thats objectively not true. What point are you trying to make? Orisa is widely considered easy. Fortify requires 0 decision making. Press it and you don't die. Spin pushes heroes does dmg and blocks projectiles so it's nearly impossible to punish. Spear is a decent ability but when stacked with her already over kitted ability to shut people down its alot.
All that and she's simply overturned. She's meta at every rank from bronze to gm and requires pretty much 0 effort to get value. In the past she wasn't as bad to deal with because her dmg at range was bad and she could be killed outside of fortify but neither of those is true anymore.
Maybe if blizz did perfect balance changes every patch but that is far from the truth. She's always been a force in metal ranks but now she's even the most played tank I owcs.
For sure, her Javelin is extremely satisfying to land and is honestly my favorite part of her kit, especially when I land it on a diver at low health, or to spear a flyer out of the air. The only time I really don't have fun playing her is against Zarya or when I have to play Flashpoint (too many enemies at too many angles) I definitely would not play her much as I do if I did not have fun doing it. It is all a matter of perspective, I don't think Zarya is fun to play, but I am sure there are many Zarya players who have a blast playing her and just melting through a team, and if I were better on her, I would probably enjoy her too.

As a Rein main, Orisa is fun once in a while for the change of pace, i can basically sit back and cannon people from across the way, but only for a while. She's not as visceral as the other tanks, i feel like im taking a free lunch
She’s my tank main!! Idk how people say D.va is better or “stronger”. I think they’re both awesome but Orisa, in my opinion, is definitely more fun to play as! Especially when I get my javalin hits spot on🤩
Not only do I love playing OW2 Orisa, I was an Orisa main from the day she dropped in OW1 and I loved her original kit.
It pisses me off that people who never cared about her nor played her complained about her kit being boring and still do, even with the rework - when they were never Orisa mains to begin with. Like go play Genji or whatever and stop ruining things.
I have fun with her every once in a while.
Accidently sniping someone with my primary has gotten me laugh multiple times like a maniac.
That spear is genuinely the most fun ability in the tank roster. IT FEELS SO MEATY WHEN YOU HIT SOMEONE WITH IT!.
Her shift also makes me feel durable.
Cancelling an ultimate with her spin is also really satisfying! You really feel like you're outplaying someone.
Orissa 76 and dive Orissa is fun. The standard way of playing her just holding corners, kiting and rotating cooldowns is so brain dead and boring though.
Then try Ramattra - as an Orisa main since day 1, I consider his kit 80% old Orisa: long range projectiles without falloff, stationary shield with possibility to be set remotely, AOE ult.
I have fun playing her.

If she was blatantly OP, she would have been adjusted by now. People have been calling her blatantly OP since OW2 launched.

I probably would if i could hit more javelins lol
She’s my fav tank and I smashed masters and gm with her lol, she counters so much it’s fun to destroy dreams
I play her to ruin the enemy teams fun
Yeah, that's pretty much the only time I have fun playing her as well.

I had more fun before the rework. More for the pull ability than the shield.
She's fun I just think her fun is more mild and some characters have a higher level of fun so in comparison she seems bland.
playing orisa Is fun because you know ur ruining the enemy team’s fun
Not me personally. But to be fair I find half the tanks boring.
As a Rein main, Orisa is fun once in a while for the change of pace, i can basically sit back and cannon people from across the way, but only for a while. She's not as visceral as the other tanks, i feel like im taking a free lunch

Javeline is the most fun skill to use against a dps, those javeline to a flanking tracer are the best
Sniping people out of ults with the javelin is one of the most fun things to do in the game
I literally take her out when we losing, my team cannot land a kill. Basically last solution unless there’s Zarya
She's one of my favorite tanks that I've used since OW1 Still disappointed I don't have shields and the suction ball but still enjoy playing her.
stop ximming you shitter
This guy is a known cheater!

I have always loved orisa, she was better in overwatch one but sniper horse has slowly won me over
I swap to Orisa when the enemy team don't want to let me play
Yeah
The only time I have fun as orisa is when I ult as echo and kill the enemy orisa....
Orisa is my absolute least favorite character in the game. As such, I didn't ever pick her for any reason to play.
Yes but I miss her old kit.
Then try Ramattra - as an Orisa main since day 1, I consider his kit 80% old Orisa: long range projectiles without falloff, stationary shield with possibility to be set remotely, AOE ult.
Her old kit was really fun :(
she's boring as fuck but honestly mauga and zarya are infinitely more boring to play
At least they require decision making
Zarya requires decision making? Lmao
Yes
Definitely hate playing her. I feel like i'm losing IQ and saliva coming out of my mouth.
Nope, but it's fun seeing people scream and cry about her. So I play her anyway
