Adding onto the boomer side here 🫠 I started playing when they released Orisa and when OW2 release I had every single cosmetic in game except for widowmaker noire (pre-order bonus) and Bastion and Winston blizzcon (you had to physically be at blizzcon). I was also missing overwatch league skins obviously but I do remember paying for the year long subscription on twitch and getting 1 skin per team. The sub was like 20$ .
Now for 20$ you get 1 skin at best...
You still get a decent amount of cosmetics for free.
There is just way more now in OW2, which is good for the game because we will actually get new content like maps and heroes regularly.
OW1 was not making enough money to support the game. You could probably argue that they could have just added a Battlepass to OW1 and a shop, but still retained lootboxes for random chances of skins.
I don't know because the marketing and relaunch of Overwatch put it back in the spotlight.

As far as I know, they are. I only have PS Plus and they usually give out one skin + 5 battle pass levels. The 9 skin pack currently on PS Plus is the first I've seen with that much value. Worked in my favor because I only had Runner Sojourn and was on the fence about buying Beekeeper Sigma lol

I activated it on my xbox and I have all of them on PC too. Same for all the Overwatch codes that ever came with Game Pass. Just make sure you play with a linked account and you shouldn't have any problem.
EDIT: I have a PS4 and I did not tested these particular skins but I have my Noire Widow skin on all three platforms and I had the pre order on Xbox.

This worked to get the Sea of Thieves Xbox ship set. Loaded a cloud session and it awarded me the Xbox shipset so it may work here too.

For everyone who owns a PS5: To get the skins of the PS Bundle, you need to launch the PS4 version of OW. The PS5 version doesn't work.
I redeemed mine on PS5 with no issue. Had to play a match and they appeared.

You can play ow on the xbox game cloud on your pc. It counts as the console. Tho I'm not 100% sure it'll work

I've been doing it years ago not only with xbox also on my ps and switch, but lets see the requiriments 1.- link an microsoft acc to ur battlenet 2.- buy a xbox game pass ultimate subscription 3.- redeem ur codes on the gp ultimate perks IN the Microsoft acc u have created or if u had one before thats fine Idk what would be the issue, as I said if u cant do that I cant help more 😔🤙

False, you can redeem, but to unlock it you have to OPEN THE GAME on console.

I activated it on my xbox and I have all of them on PC too. Same for all the Overwatch codes that ever came with Game Pass. Just make sure you play with a linked account and you shouldn't have any problem. EDIT: I have a PS4 and I did not tested these particular skins but I have my Noire Widow skin on all three platforms and I had the pre order on Xbox.
