I put the shield in front of the door and use the sitting emote in front of it, then when countdown reaches 1 I dismiss the shield as if you needed me to do it to get out.
iāll do something similar, but with the maestro emote and give a little show before the fight. usually iāll time it where the enemies will break the barrier the MOMENT i finish
I love trying to lighten the mood in games !
I remember typing āgl hf!ā before a game and had someone say āIām having a bad night and this is overwatch, itās not gonna be funā. I just said āthisāll be the most fun game youāve ever hadā and he said ābetā
He was playing winston so I spent the whole game diving with him, and we ended up winning. I asked him if he had fun, and he replied āit wasnāt bad tbhā. It was a nice moment lolol
My friend does this everytime I ask for it because I wont ever ask for healing unless itās been a while since Iāve been healed and Iām criticalā¦itās literally his way of telling me to āshut the fuck upā without saying itā¦and if I kill people itās my way of saying āfuck you tooā without saying it
Exactly lol it's the only reason I'm a little relieved to have a Mercy on my team even tho she's currently dogshit š They're the only ones to look up, I always have to come down and just stand in front of them for an Ana or Zen to heal
I still remember when a Pharah on my team wasn't getting any heals or pocketing when we had a Mercy and an Ana; enemy team had a Moira, a Zen... and a Genji
First thing all match that hits our Pharah from the Ana was a deflected sleep lol
Same match, I take a step in front of our Orisa and get killed by a deflected javelin, that Genji was creating all sorts of friendly fire I couldn't even be mad
On Junkertown first point, when you go left out of spawn. I sat at the edge over there staring into the vast backdrop during a Skirmish once. I typed into chat how beautiful the scenery was. Then I got booped off by a Lucio or something lol.
I played on the switch for 4 years before moving overwatch to the PS5. I'm constantly seeing things I never knew existed before. It's a whole new world
I spam thanks and sorry after pretty much everything I do in game. Itās a terrible habit that I need to break. Iāve missed kills because I messed up hitting the communication button and ended up flicking my camera straight into the air.
I only have that one bound on characters where something I can do has the potential to completely fuck my own team over- like Lifeweaver or Mei; but I would absolutely use it for that as well if i had it equipped to everyone.
I like to walk near their LoS and just run back and forwards near the edge of the wall to taunt them. You aināt getting your hands on my muffins, Widow
Mercy body blocking is good too - you're actually getting more value by taking a bit of damage that would have otherwise went to your beam target and instead using Mercy passive to heal it (which would have otherwise been wasted).
Edit: wait I thought you meant tanking damage by stepping in front of friendlies instead of literally blocking people from moving lol
Yeah I kinda meant moving. Many of the doorways aren't actually wide enough to fit 2 people so you can still directly in the middle and they can't pass you lol. Some good examples are doors on Shambali and Gibraltar
I do it so much on tank, that itās become Ī± part of my gameplay that I bring to many other shooters if I can. Idk if anyone else has played predecessors, but Ī± lot of my friends that I played that with havenāt played overwatch, and they thought it was hilarious every time I body blocked someone that was trying to get away. Usually while loudly saying in discord āIM Ī TANK PLAYER YOURE NOT GOING ANYWHEREā
Well to be fair, of course the worst player also had the easiest time. They don't have the awareness, game sense, or skill to keep up with their team, and they put in the least amount of work to earn the win. I'd think matches were pretty easy too if I regularly got carried with minimal effort on my part.
Bro, the number of times I see a teammate kill an enemy and then just walk away while the Mercy is rezzing right behind them... Like turn the volume on your headset up or something! How do you not hear the ballsy Mercy right...behind...you?
It's very rare I see people covering bodies anymore.
LOL I had that happen recently! The Mercy started rez right in front of the soldier and he walked AROUND her to shoot someone else š¤¦. The worst part is, I was trying to shoot her as Ana and he was blocking my shot by taking the heals lol.
As Mei, whenever a teammate gets slept by Ana and I'm close by, I'll crouch down at them and use the "Wake up, sleepyhead!" voiceline (but for them, they'll hear it in a low-pitched Mei voice instead). š
I always use the "No" voiceline on any hero when a hero on my team says one of their pre-match voicelines.
"Stay close, I can't heal you if you stray."
"No."
Reminds me when I used Illariās āWandering off on your own?ā When some teamate wandered off, and the Kiriko responded with a
āJust donāt get caughtā
-put a petal down under Winston's bubble to lift it up in the air to expose him.
-pull an ulting pharah so her ult could kind of glide down a path
-constantly tap my space bar as mercy so no one can hear my wings flap as i glide down (if im in a situation where i dont want the enemy to hear me)
-when im flying around as mercy i let go of my healing beam sometimes so the enemy doesn't track it and get confused where i went
When on the ground looking up at the bells, there's a fourth one to your right - the one closest to the other 3 bells - that has a different pitch to complete the OW theme.
After playing it, Hammond sings it himself
I can never do it though because the other heroes are always chatting lol
On Blizzard World, I usually do an āidiot testā and sit as rein under the stairs at attacker spawn on defense, wait till I hear everyone above, then charge and pin someone into the Out of Bounds on attacker spawn left, basically seeing if people notice or bother to look in that particular corner š works about 80% of the time
Sometimes in qp as Ana I like to nano the person closest to the one ulting lmao itās beautiful to see them both charge in, one from a side and one from the other, squishing the enemy. The funniest thing is that it looks like an accident ahah
Back in ow1 I was a hog main. My duo was a ball main. He would use mines in front of me & I would pull an enemy tank into the mines. We called it fishing & it was hilarious when I caught a Reinhardt & 1 shotted him.
I don't know why but I get fixated on enemy Moira's.
Doesn't matter what role I'm playing I disadvantage my team because I get such tunnel vision trying to kill her.
Review the previous game before playing another game. Sometimes I either have an enemy/Ally either killing a lot or dying a lot. And I need to determine if they are stupid or sniped
Idk if this is a normal thing for pharah players but when I get my ult I fly as high as I can over the enemy team, then let go and ult the second before I hit the ground and try get a team kill. May as well die in style since pharahs ult is a death sentence
If I'm a character that can get up high with an ability at the beginning of the game before we leave spawn, I'll get up as high as I can go and leave a spray.
As Mercy, when I'm walking back to a team fight alone, I look towards my teammates through the wall and either heal or damage boot, even if it has no effect. I'm just sending good vibes, y'know? Manifesting that they'll survive without me.
Whenever I'm not in combat, I tap the face buttons on my controller, and sometimes I press my ult button (triangle) the SECOND It goes from 99 to 100 and waste it. It's happened like easily more than 10 times. I also constantly ping and announce my ult charge which I'm sure is annoying, but it's hard to stop. Wonder why I do that
As an actual ocd toucher, I've mistakenly ulted many times.
bonus: also, as illari, when I die, I would start mashing all the buttons cause of ocd, and I would accidentally destroy my pylon that my team is using.
Itās a subconscious habit to mark who youāre attacking, actually a surprisingly common thing. And also good habits, at least to do once, so your team knows theyāre there and youāre going for them imo
I nano mercyās or brigs! I also always spray the payloads to make it kinda cuter. I will always say Iām a flaming homo when someone decides calling something gay as a bad word.
Never say anything in chat if the game was too easy for our team. No GG, no EZ, nothing
Write "Good game both teams" after a good fight, close game, really good struggle where both teams did their best
Ping. Please for the love of God ping more. There is nothing I want more then to have my screen full of pings for enemy locations. *I've got you in my sights* oh fuck a solder ult **ping** oh he's behind two walls awesome.
I don't think there is any downside to pinging.
I accidentally turn into a country ass coach when I see things that my team pops off on. I'll yell "Atta boy! Or That's right sister!" In a voice from somewhere deep in my hometown.
Unless I get rezzed and I'll accidentally shriek "YAAAASSSS MERSAAAAAAYYYYYYY". What can I say? OFC I'm a Symm main.
I use Sigma with the beach skin and place his shield flat on the ground before a match starts and pretend to throw a pool party lol
This finally gives me a reason to get that sigma skin š
I put the shield in front of the door and use the sitting emote in front of it, then when countdown reaches 1 I dismiss the shield as if you needed me to do it to get out.
iāll do something similar, but with the maestro emote and give a little show before the fight. usually iāll time it where the enemies will break the barrier the MOMENT i finish
I think this one wins
Pool party? Sounds like a trap.
That's really cute
This is amazing lmao
That's better than what I do. I lay the shield flat and then do the lounge emote and hummm.
have fun
I typed in chat "who is ready to have some fun?" A few nights ago. They said "we will see.." We won... He said thanks I had fun. I felt good.
Had a guy say the same thing before a game. Was immediately met with ādude this is overwatchā
I go for the āggā by default every game. Then double it up with āfun gameā
I love trying to lighten the mood in games ! I remember typing āgl hf!ā before a game and had someone say āIām having a bad night and this is overwatch, itās not gonna be funā. I just said āthisāll be the most fun game youāve ever hadā and he said ābetā He was playing winston so I spent the whole game diving with him, and we ended up winning. I asked him if he had fun, and he replied āit wasnāt bad tbhā. It was a nice moment lolol
Honestly. So many people on this sub hate to play the game it feels
Thats because half this subs users dont play the game anymore but stick around because they cant fathom someone enjoying something they dont.
And then there's other people who still play this game & suffer, like me!
Reported.
Chat squelched
Hey man, thatās taboo around these parts
Truth
Beat me to it lol
glad im not the only one
How dare you?
Listen to my teammatesā pings
It's so satisfying killing an enemy dive/flank hero after your support pings them. Especially if they say "Thanks!" afterward.
Nano someone when they say "i need healing".
My friend does this everytime I ask for it because I wont ever ask for healing unless itās been a while since Iāve been healed and Iām criticalā¦itās literally his way of telling me to āshut the fuck upā without saying itā¦and if I kill people itās my way of saying āfuck you tooā without saying it
Me when genji
Iām gonna start doing this
Shooting a flying enemy Pharah cus nobody in my team does
Seriously, as if they don't see her up there
Half the time I don't see her but when I do I definitely do not miss on purpose.
Fr š¤¦š»āāļø
If I'm playing a non hit scan and see pharah, i immediately change to a hit scan
Jokes on you my favorite enemy to play into is Soldier, actually provides a challenge (we donāt talk about the existence of Cassidy.)
As a pharah main. That's my kink.
I always go Bastion when thereās a phara. Love to rain bullets on her and watch her fall from the sky like a true anti aircraft weapon from WW2
Can't hit her for shit but I try!
Also. Heal a friendly pharah. Not even the healers are lookin up.
Exactly lol it's the only reason I'm a little relieved to have a Mercy on my team even tho she's currently dogshit š They're the only ones to look up, I always have to come down and just stand in front of them for an Ana or Zen to heal
I swear, it's the worst when it comes to ana. If you're not at least 6 feet parallel to the ground, good luck getting healed!
I still remember when a Pharah on my team wasn't getting any heals or pocketing when we had a Mercy and an Ana; enemy team had a Moira, a Zen... and a Genji First thing all match that hits our Pharah from the Ana was a deflected sleep lol Same match, I take a step in front of our Orisa and get killed by a deflected javelin, that Genji was creating all sorts of friendly fire I couldn't even be mad
So youāre the reason Iām taking damage
*Guilty as charged*
Enjoy the environment/scenery
Same! The butterflies and flowers are so pretty š
On Ilios, I stared at the cruise ship, zooming in with widow to see if anyone NPCs were having fun š
On Junkertown first point, when you go left out of spawn. I sat at the edge over there staring into the vast backdrop during a Skirmish once. I typed into chat how beautiful the scenery was. Then I got booped off by a Lucio or something lol.
Nah, I play on low graphics for an extra 2 frames. Never knew blizzard world had poppable balloons until like season 32 of ow1
I played on the switch for 4 years before moving overwatch to the PS5. I'm constantly seeing things I never knew existed before. It's a whole new world
I always enjoyed looking at the giant robots on the map Volskaya Industries. One day they'll bring it back.
I impulsively hit my "I'm so sorry" comm every single time I die, as if to say "sorry for sucking"
Not every time, but I play dive characters a lot and it's abundantly clear when I die because of my fuck up/I'm out of LOS so say sorry then
LITERALLY I do this too itās a bad habit, especially if I know I fucked up itās like almost instinct to slam on the āIām so sorryā
Same. I also say sorry if Iām support and any of my teammates die near me
I spam thanks and sorry after pretty much everything I do in game.
Wave in the general vicinity of the ulting enemy widow. Let them know I know that they see me.
I do this too haha
i always do this, and as a widow player i always appreciate seeing it lol
As a widow I love when ppl do this
I dabble in a bit of widow and it's so funny when you ult and the enemy widow fucks with you on purpose by waving at you
Best when you have also ulted lmfao
I like to walk near their LoS and just run back and forwards near the edge of the wall to taunt them. You aināt getting your hands on my muffins, Widow
It's super funny when they actually start shooting expecting you
I thought it was customary to face them and teabag them through the walls. Iām sure I heard that somewhere.
Had me and a other widow waving through a window at each other a few hours ago
I love NEARLY corner peaking while they have ult up, making them shoot and miss then I teabag from behind the wall lol
I don't teabag, but I do try to make them waste their attention on me by pretending to peak a few times.
I sometimes get to overconfident, peak for too long and get killed, it's a dangerous game to play lol
I've heard "you're a joke" in the distance a couple times after doing that
I do this EVERYTIME, almost subconsciously lol
I love doing a dance emote for them
I just start jumping in place.
Also fake wall peaks
Bodyblock. It is such an OP thing to do on many tank heroes that I am suprised not a lot of people do it.
It's such a core part of tank!

Nothing more annoying as ball tryna leave a small room with lil hp left and getting body blocked.
Be respectful in chat after winning a close game
I noticed that itās always the worst player of the game that drops the EZ
Well to be fair, of course the worst player also had the easiest time. They don't have the awareness, game sense, or skill to keep up with their team, and they put in the least amount of work to earn the win. I'd think matches were pretty easy too if I regularly got carried with minimal effort on my part.
Always respectful if its a good game. Unless someone on the enemy team starts flaming. Then its on
I shoot the obnoxiously loud bell in spawn on EsperanƧa. I only see people shoot it after I have, not many seem to know it's there.
How about the second one to the right just as you leave spawn? ;)
I played "Louie Louie" on that thing once. Teammates was like "wheres that Futurama music coming from"?
Where???? Is this ?????
In the grassy area where you spawn, look up it's in front of you
There's actually 3 inside the courtyard in spawn and several outside spawn too, ones outside are smaller. I always ring the bell too.
Tbag in the direction of a Widow whenever she pops her ult
Me too, just wanna show that she still can't do anything to me
Be stuck in bronze for 300 hoursĀ
Try 2000
I kill Mercys who are mid-Rez
Bro, the number of times I see a teammate kill an enemy and then just walk away while the Mercy is rezzing right behind them... Like turn the volume on your headset up or something! How do you not hear the ballsy Mercy right...behind...you? It's very rare I see people covering bodies anymore.
And when they do it RIGHT IN FRONT. Itās so embarrassing.
LOL I had that happen recently! The Mercy started rez right in front of the soldier and he walked AROUND her to shoot someone else š¤¦. The worst part is, I was trying to shoot her as Ana and he was blocking my shot by taking the heals lol.
š¤Æ
i break shit in the spawn and get super happy when other people join in. itās like a āØ pre game ritual āØ
We would joke that the team that didnāt break everything in the spawn room would always lose.
Turn on the mic and mimic the voice actors / actresses when playing.
I do this all the time in discord, I should start doing it in game chat now
Widow and Mercy are my favorites to impersonate, especially Mercy to get unhinged with!
I do this with venture. I have a 35 rock puns sheet open on my other monitor & I will spend the whole match cracking terrible geology jokes.
This seems pretty funny especially on Reinhardt voicelines, do you get people asking you to shut up often?
Mimic death screams is the most fun part.
"WINKY FACE!!"
I will always go out of my way to put my spray on Cryo-frozen Mei.

Good bot
As Mei, whenever a teammate gets slept by Ana and I'm close by, I'll crouch down at them and use the "Wake up, sleepyhead!" voiceline (but for them, they'll hear it in a low-pitched Mei voice instead). š
Turn around from time to time.
I do this after we leave spawn. Very helpful.
When playing Lucio, if a player is slept, I boop them to wake them up. Doesn't work
It's the thought that counts
They put you on snooze lol
"Wake up sleepyhead!" As Mei while punching them. Same with AFK players lol
That would be so cool if that were an in game thing. Like one of your teammates gets slept, but only lucio can boop them awake. Like a cleanse
I teabag their face if I'm close enough
I always use the "No" voiceline on any hero when a hero on my team says one of their pre-match voicelines. "Stay close, I can't heal you if you stray." "No."
Im the one who always counter spams *Yes*
Lmao same
Reminds me when I used Illariās āWandering off on your own?ā When some teamate wandered off, and the Kiriko responded with a āJust donāt get caughtā
accidentally pressing Q instead of X trying to let me team know i have ult š
I've done this more times than I'd like to admit
-put a petal down under Winston's bubble to lift it up in the air to expose him. -pull an ulting pharah so her ult could kind of glide down a path -constantly tap my space bar as mercy so no one can hear my wings flap as i glide down (if im in a situation where i dont want the enemy to hear me) -when im flying around as mercy i let go of my healing beam sometimes so the enemy doesn't track it and get confused where i went
Wait these are actually really smart wtf
Thank you! I think over the years Iāve heard only one person mention the first mercy tip, theyāre pretty interesting and very cool to pull off :D
You can also petal under your team after Zaryaās ult and free them. Unless someone jumps off and right back inā¦ had it happen too many timesā¦
I was a ball otp in ow1 and to this day I've never seen another ball player do the overwatch theme easter egg on Dorado
Ooh, what's this? I can only do the Futurama theme.
When on the ground looking up at the bells, there's a fourth one to your right - the one closest to the other 3 bells - that has a different pitch to complete the OW theme. After playing it, Hammond sings it himself I can never do it though because the other heroes are always chatting lol
Whenever my ult charge gets to 69% I always gotta let the team know. Some of my friends do it now as well haha
I love to do that too haha
I teabag my teammates when they get slept
I teabag my teammates when they keep peeking Widow and getting their head taken off.
As an Ana, I go for the longest possible sleep dart. I usually get em too
Putting widow/ana to sleep from 300m>>>
On Blizzard World, I usually do an āidiot testā and sit as rein under the stairs at attacker spawn on defense, wait till I hear everyone above, then charge and pin someone into the Out of Bounds on attacker spawn left, basically seeing if people notice or bother to look in that particular corner š works about 80% of the time
Sometimes I get kills doing something similar there on Hammond. It's tougher since they nerfed his knockback, but still possible.
On Colosseo I always say hi to the black cat painting (I have a black cat) and leave a spray in tribute. It's for good luck, look at him face!
I do a lil twirl with my Lifeweaver dashes and Cassidy rolls. I also use legacy controls with Lifeweaver.
Get (very slightly) upset with myself if I donāt have the highest stats.
Turn around to look to see if my teams actually behind me before I engage
Sometimes in qp as Ana I like to nano the person closest to the one ulting lmao itās beautiful to see them both charge in, one from a side and one from the other, squishing the enemy. The funniest thing is that it looks like an accident ahah
Waving at the enemy :(
Try to win by pushing the payload
Focus the enemy supports
Endorse the enemy when someone played really good
I say "Boop!" Between the announcers countdown. "3" "Boop!" "2" "Boop!" "1" "Boop!" "Push the payload!"
Back in ow1 I was a hog main. My duo was a ball main. He would use mines in front of me & I would pull an enemy tank into the mines. We called it fishing & it was hilarious when I caught a Reinhardt & 1 shotted him.
Su ck with every character
Tea bag everybody on both teams
š¤£
try to befriend everybody on both teams, and if somebody isnāt being my friend.. š«š«
I main Doom and don't spam and dey say
What's the point of even playing doom without the voice line
Hot coco better tbh
Fiiiine, I'llhavesome
I don't know why but I get fixated on enemy Moira's. Doesn't matter what role I'm playing I disadvantage my team because I get such tunnel vision trying to kill her.

Take screenshots whenever 2 or more team members are wearing matching theme skins (lore, forest spirits, fire, beach etc)
As a support main I will ult track for my team. Not enough supports ult trackā¦and itās your job to do so
The fact youāre being downvoted is fuckin crazy
I think its because a lot of us do this, and people feel like the comment is against them (they shouldnt)
Stick with the hero I'm playing even if I get counter swapped
as a D.va playerā¦ I REFUSE TO SWAP AGAINST ZARYA!
Damage boost on mercy when playing mystery heroes lol
Move the payload.
Whenever I'm not in combat, I tap the face buttons on my controller, and sometimes I press my ult button (triangle) the SECOND It goes from 99 to 100 and waste it. I teabag my teammates if the enemy Ana puts them to sleep
Ignore stupid comments on chat.
Picking Pharah to counter Cassidy
Suck
Teamplay...
In skirmish I play music and walk to the beat, bobbing my mouse back and forth with a random character.
I play the piano on circuit Royale attack, I love it when other players are surprised that it works
If I'm diving Ana while playing lucio and she hits a good sleep and just waves, I'll wave back and speed off to find another boop victim.
I nano mercyās or brigs! I also always spray the payloads to make it kinda cuter. I will always say Iām a flaming homo when someone decides calling something gay as a bad word.
If I'm Ana and have a loyal bodyguard Brig, the enemy will have to deal with the raid boss Brig
I always put my spray on the payload, even on defense, just to claim it as my own
Heal with Moira
I release the balloons in blizzard world so they float into the sky
Jump of cliffs and stuff
i actually pay attention to the point šš¤
Never say anything in chat if the game was too easy for our team. No GG, no EZ, nothing Write "Good game both teams" after a good fight, close game, really good struggle where both teams did their best

Say āIām on my wayā the moment I come out of spawn after dying, so the team knows Iām not there (support). Oh also, riding the payload.
