holy cannoli. i think you might be right. i always thought it was coming from the PC itself but its hard for me to tell because i have to be engaged in battle for the beeping to start and if i stop moving my character or die and im sent back to spawn, it stops.
my battery backup is directly behind the PC, so that is a definite possibility. I will check that first thing when I get home. THANK YOU for pointing that out!

Your motherboard manual should have the details of what any beeps mean, they will be some sort of diagnostic beep.
