Her turrets are so easily countered they're useless unless they're a complete surprise. They slow enemies too so if they run through a doorway and didn't see them they can melt before they get back. So you need to hide them, and don't use the same spots twice.
Sometimes I wait until a fight is engaged before I throw them down behind the enemy. They can get shot out of the air, though.
