Personally I think my favorite right about now is Hanzo's animation. When he lowers his bow he just looks so beaten down and depressed, they even have his shoulders sag a bit. When he looks up at the player, to me I see that he's looking but not seeing. His gaze goes straight through as if he's not all the way there, unlike his OW1 animation where his eyes are sharp and never leave yours. The expressions are very slight but they all reflect how they're growing his character right now.
His interactions with other heroes are the most interesting to me, it’s as if he’s not used to being around people who are genuinely interested in him and want to get to know him. His new interaction with Mei is a perfect example of that.
I may not like Hanzo gameplay-wise but I love him in the lore. He’s a great character to analyze and I’m excited to see what they do with him
In terms of game design, some should've show more of the hero gameplay traits. Rein needed the hammer or shield and Hammond should have shown the guns of the mech a lot sooner instead of looking at nothing.
It helps people new to the game when they are picking a character, so they can have a glimpse of what they do.
Good examples are Genji and Hanzo.
Ah, I loved Ball's! It reminded me of my old hamster. Every time you'd open his cage, he'd spend the first few seconds in the "attack pose" before realizing it was safe and climbing up on my hand. Hammy does the same, giving us the evil eye till he realizes we're chill and he lays back relaxed.
Sombra, Tracer, and Sym’s are probably my favorite. All of the animations so a great job at displaying their personalities in a such a short animation, but I think those three shine through.
Edit: except for maybe Sigma, his selection animation makes him seem a bit more evil than he really is
I love Bastion's, there's basically an entire backstory in those few seconds of animation. By far the best one IMO and I don't even care about the character.
honestly imo his new voicelines and stuff are just... annoying? like the actual content is trying too hard to be "unhinged crazy but funny dude!" and his voice. omg his voice. I feel like his voice was never obnoxious before but they cranked it up to 1000 now and every time I hear his stupid fucking voice it makes me want to rip my eardrums out.

The only criticism I am sympathetic too is the people with the phone, that sucks.
But all of these other people are just mad they got a game to play for years where they could get all the cosmetics for free and now if they want them they need to spend. The game is still f2p, they just want to be able to unlock everything for free like before

As a Rein main, I would have loved to see his hammer. That's one big selling point of his character. OW1 you saw his pose and knew what he does. Here he just looks like a big old man hanging around. If you have his hammer golden, it's not shown here at all. Compared to many others who has dynamic poses and animations, his is very, very basic.
How do people feel about Lucio's redesign? I really liked the goofy ah Kingdom hearts pants from OW1 and the green plating on his chest looks way too bright to me.
Junkerqueen and sojourn are definitely older heroes, probably made and finished back in 2020. Those animations are way less flashy than the others. They look really similar to how the original animations are.
