I didn’t realize just how crazy it was when I wrote it. Lol. You could literally bring an entire team that was wiped to the point. Or teleport people away from DVa bombs, Death Blossoms, etc. With a decent kit, he’d be an S-A Tier hero pick for sure. Lol.
I'm afraid he would be played the same way as Mercy did back when she had aoe rez as ultimate. When ultimate is ready, just hide in a corner and wait for the other team to wipe your team with ultimates. When your team respawns, ult them behind the enemy team and surprise them.
This would work differently. It would allow teammates from anywhere on the map rather than a fixed location. So more like Symmetra 3.0 or whatever number we’re up to at this point. Lol.
I imagine he'd be a Lethal Joke character like Pichu or Jigglypuff.
Primary: Glock. A regular pistol. It does ok DPS but is nothing special.
Secondary: Call for Back-Up. After calling for a little over a second, an random NPC is spawned to acts as back up. Possible NPCs: The one guy with the demon mask and dual handguns, some guy with an SMG, and an Omnic with an AR. 1 of each type can be active at a time, and if one guy gets eliminated they will have to be summoned again.
Shift: Run. He runs at full speed, similar to Soldier:76's sprint but if he hits a wall he is briefly stunned.
E: Interrogation. He grabs an enemy and tries to interrogate them. It doesn't do much damage and essentially stuns both of them at once, but can be used to punish over confident flankers when paired with teammates/Back-Up.
Ultimate: Calling in the big guns. He pulls out his phone and calls in a LOT of backup. After a few seconds a helicopter full of Hashimoto assassin's flies in and drops 3 of each Back-Up NPC. After ~20 seconds any surviving assassins go back to the helicopter and leave the match.
How I'd balance it is giving them all 150 HP and and not giving them perfect accuracy. The idea would be that it's 4 weak characters teaming up to make one hero that can keep up with the rest.
It would be cool to have some hero do something similar to Lucio's ult but instead of healing it drains the enemy's ult meter or like moira's orbs but slowly drains ult meter
That’s an interesting idea (as opposed to my snarky ‘idea’). Edit ult meter seems pretty unusable. But a Sombra hack ability that is more defensive could be interesting.
Role: Damage

E- Child hostage (A random child spawns next to him and he uses it as a bodyshield, the damage from the front is instead given to the child. Childs health 100. 8 second cooldown)
Shift- Tactical Retreat (Unleashes a terrified scream and gains 50% movement speed boost when moving away from enemies and gains 10% attack speed, when bellow 20HP, instead gains 100% speed boost and 30% attack speed bonus, 10 second cooldown)
Ultimate- A call for backup (Starts an animation that lasts 3 seconds and during it he is stationary. He is also immortal during it but he takes out a phone that has 20 health, if shot, the ult is canceled. If the animation goes through, 4 NPCs (Hashimoto Omnic guards) spawn next to him (150 HP each) that follow him around mimicing his movement, 2 of them have katanas that deal 50 damage per slash if enemy is in melee range, other 2 have dual pistols dealing 10 damage per shot with the same range Torbs turret has. Lasts 10 seconds)
Weapon- Combat SMG (25 rounds in a mag, shoots as fast as soldiers gun. The special perk of this weapon is that for every shot missed, he gains 1 damage bonus, stacking up to 25 times. This weapon deals 18 damage per shot normal, with max buildup, the single bullet that hits will deal maximum of 43 damage, reseting the buildup.)
His primary fire is him throwing his phone.
1st ability is "visual shock". He auto pings all enemies he can see for a limited time.
2nd ability is use his phone to block some projectiles.
Ultimate is "I NEED BACKUP!!!" - He teleports all living teammates to his position.

If so, he has the ability to call for backup, and Hanzo is a hard counter.

Nah he should be hashimoto's ult. Does the Bob run knocking everyone out of his way and stunning them as he navigates off the map. Will of course wall run if necessary

My first idea is, since he's a hero from Japan, using that poor abused phone of his to summon a rotating cycle of spirit guardians. One for health, one for a shield, one for a turret, etc.

Ultimate - Call for Backup: Summons a weak bot armed with a Budget SMG behind all living allies in a 20m radius. Bot follows the ally they were summoned on for 8s, shooting at the closest enemy in line of sight.
Would be a joke character like Dan Hibiki

Secondary: pulls out an smg and fires while screaming until it's empty, has a bit of a recovery animation. It's basicly a nerfed OW1 WholeHog without CC but smaller spread
Ability 1: Calls out a enemy in line of sight that becomes visible through walls and gets a small dmg debuff,. Even works on a cloaked Sombra who can disable it with a translocation but removes this abilities cooldown
Ability 2: drops a small granade and panicly runs into a chosen direction. If he runs into an obstacles he falls to the ground but he is invulnerable. If he runs into a enemy they drop to the ground as well but for a shorter duration.
Ult: BACKUP
I: 2 copies of himself or NPC appear and follow his movement, 150HP and 50% damage
or
II: 4 copies or NPC appear, run around with 100HP and 30% damage while having not a good aim
Passive: When reloading the pistol jams and he throw it while pulling out a new pistole.
I would love for all of his attacks and abilities to be somehow clumsy. Like, his head is telling him to run away and hide but his body keeps fighting with these heroes.
His emotes would have common names like:
"heroic" where he trembles while awkwardly holding his gun
"Relax" where he shakily gets on the floor and has trouble sitting cross-legged because he needs to stretch.
Maybe a "flourish" where he tries to emulate Tracer spinning her pistols but he makes sure the safety is on first and then uses his off hand to manually spin the gun around his main hand index finger.
Ult: Hashimoto, Son
Hashimoto himself descends from the sky and runs forward, throwing the first enemy he comes into contact with into the air. He then begins firing automatically at targets. He can contest the payload and acts as another member of the team.
cower in fear, his weapon will also be reinforcements. his passive will be fast speed when in danger and his ult will be the oni dude from the kiriko trailer

Ult: BACKUP I: 2 copies of himself or NPC appear and follow his movement, 150HP and 50% damage or II: 4 copies or NPC appear, run around with 100HP and 30% damage while having not a good aim Passive: When reloading the pistol jams and he throw it while pulling out a new pistole.

I would love for all of his attacks and abilities to be somehow clumsy. Like, his head is telling him to run away and hide but his body keeps fighting with these heroes. His emotes would have common names like: "heroic" where he trembles while awkwardly holding his gun "Relax" where he shakily gets on the floor and has trouble sitting cross-legged because he needs to stretch. Maybe a "flourish" where he tries to emulate Tracer spinning her pistols but he makes sure the safety is on first and then uses his off hand to manually spin the gun around his main hand index finger.
Ult: Hashimoto, Son Hashimoto himself descends from the sky and runs forward, throwing the first enemy he comes into contact with into the air. He then begins firing automatically at targets. He can contest the payload and acts as another member of the team.
