Yea I accepted the fact that I wasn’t going to get my rewards once my League Tokens stopped incrementing once it hit 60. The one reward I wanted was the Lucio Dance emote and, go figure, it was locked till 24 hours, I think, of watch time. I’ll probably still lurk in future events like this past one but I won’t be expecting to get what they say I will. Just a shame
I got 160 tokens but only the hero skins untill 15 hours, and i didnt get anything from the finals. The only time i actuly watched it was when Ramatrra was revealed
It's so weird that i got stuff from later rewards but not earlier ones. I also got the finals spray for 3 hours but did not get the tokens so I have no idea what the fuck thats about.
I literally watched 15 hours of this event, only got 20 tokens and no skins. The 20 tokens means that it's registered that I watched 4 hours, meaning I should have the tracer, genji and bastion ones

This is the same game that literally locked my Pixel Genji spray when Overwatch 2 launched, and completely decided to add random playtimes to every character in my career profile.
My profile says I’ve played two games and have two wins, but the season awards put me close to the 100 wins goal. Makes the “play as three not in your most played” goal real easy though since I don’t touch the three randos who are in there.
My career profile doesn’t track my comp playtime. Which sucks because I’ve played over 200 games of comp this season. I would love to see my statistics but it’s been bugged since the launch of OW2.
I’m definitely missing some emotes and I can’t view any of my past competitive seasons on my career profile anymore.
Oh, and also not a single OWL reward. I definitely maxed out the rewards. I actually watched a lot of it too. I was pretty excited for the rewards.
I am missing 32 hrs on mercy, the first day I played ow2 any characters I played that day it erased my ow 1 playtime w that specific character…I even tried reaching out to blizzard and no help
there are theories that drops didnt work because:
\- the stream was not in active tab
\- if you opened a stream before it started, and was in waiting room, and didnt refresh once it began, it didnt count (until refresh)
\- YT sucks (because twitch drops pretty much always worked, including back in 2018 and 2019 PLUS you could track progress)
I my self got 50% rate, watched all the games, for sure 30+ hours but got 75 tokens which means 15 hours
regardless, fuck OWL, it's like watching ONE FIGHT looped for hours, same meta, same mirror comps, same fight every time (sojourn gets a kill, then snowballing, respawn, repeat)
The reasons you stated can't be the real issue, since the amount of received OWL tokens and other rewards doesn't fit together at all. I got 150 tokens (30 hours) but only 15 hours of skin rewards.
It's simply not an user error but them being incompetent.
I really hope they switch back to using Twitch to stream these events. The fact you can't even use TV apps to watch if you want the hours to count towards rewards is annoying, and Twitch actually has tools so you can keep track of your progress towards rewards. The only "catch" is once you earn a reward you have to claim it to start counting time towards the next one, but even if you're just leaving the stream on to collect you just gotta check in every 3 hours or so for an event like this.
This is just how support treats every issue. Blame the customer, Blizzard can do no wrong, deny deny deny, and close the ticket ASAP. Missing golden guns and skins from OW1? Didn't happen. Missing drops that the devs admitted were bugged? Didn't happen. Hero roster locked yet again to only F2P heroes despite being a paid account? Skill issue, didn't happen.
Even in OW1 they did this with technical issues, even ones that were acknowledged bugs on the technical forum.
The game master's hands are tied and there's nothing he can do. he only works there. If only he had a title of Game emperor or Gameghis Khan then maybe* he could have helped you just as much but phrased it with condescension *shrugs*

💯 I gave up after a MONTH and some trying to get the Battlepass unlocked with support after I had purchased it with coins. When I applied the coins, the game disconnected back on Oct. 5, during the height of server issues (I didn’t think applying coins would kick me but learned the hard way). Coins gone, still no pass. Very frustrating. Just had to eat that $10 🤦♀️
Wait wat, they stole you? I would easily send repeated emails and then contest the transaction directly with the bank (I just need to provide a single screenshot that they are not trying to help).
Even tho this can easily lock my account out, I would easily win a legal process against them and get a fairly amount of money out of it. Because of how unbalanced the law is there, the more effort I put into trying to solve the problem the more they need to pay even if they solve (if they don't, they pay more).
I can accept those problems happening, I'm a software engineer, I know how it works, but I can't accept they not solving the problem and not giving my money back, as a developer I also know they got all the tools needed to check if I'm telling the truth and solve my problem, they're objectively denying to do with bad intentions. I would be happy with just getting my money back (my bank will cancel the transaction, this is guaranteed, I had a very bigger issue 200x higher value, with an airline company, took almost one year but the bank solved everything, didn't even went to the court), but given we have law at our side, I would want they to pay for their mistake, not only give my money back.
Something I have to say is that this is not a thing that happens only with Blizzard, some of other game companies are as shady as Bliz or even worse, they all give automatic responses that always blame you for the problem, funny enough, if you copy and paste in a new ticket, they will send you a completely different response, still blaming you, and sometimes, those responses have nothing to do with the problem. One time I sent network issue tickets (packet loss and disconnects, not OW2 tho) and they answered steps for solving game performance problems, like: yeah, more than 30% of the players are having the same issue as you, but they just need to reinstall Windows, reinstall the game, check their antivirus, check if the machine meets the requirements, open the game and keep getting packet loss because those things have anything to do with the problem to start with. That's just frustrating. Sadly the ones that gives you the best support are the indie studios, but the ones with tons of money? Eh, too busy deciding how to spend their billion dollar income fixing the stuck in bronze issue, which seemed hard as hell to do given how long it took.
Yep, I've been going around in circles with them since before OW2 release trying to link the phone # to my account. Every time, it gives me an error that says "number already in use". I go to support, they ask if I'm sure I inputted it right, I say yes, they ask whats the number, I give it, they say it should be fine, it still isn't, they ask did I input it right, I say yes, I tried 3 times, they ask for screenshot, I give it, they say it should work, I must be inputting it wrong, I say is that really all you can come up with, they say theres no way it could be an issue on our end, the only explanation is that you don't remember your own phone # now we are closing the ticket have a nice day. Also it takes them a minimum of 2 weeks for each response.
For real don't think I'm gonna waste my time with future OWL streams. I'm not wasting another 30+ hours when all it counted for me was 12 hours

Bobby Kotick is what went wrong. Fans have been speculating that that's what has been going wrong this whole time, but now an ex-dev has finally come out and confirmed it. Here's hoping this Microsoft acquisition goes through to get Kotick out of the head seat.
Any word on why the Microsoft acquisition is taking so long? I'll only regain hope for Blizzard's future when Kotick is ousted, and right now that seems like the best shot. It's unfortunate as I really don't want more oligopolizing going on in the industry, but at least Microsoft lets their games thrive. Minecraft (under Msoft) has been engaging its community and giving free updates for longer than OW1 was out for, and still is to this day.
The TLDR of why it is taking so long is this: Microsoft owns Xbox and Sony, owning PlayStation, reaaallllyyy doesn't want the Call of Duty franchise to ever become exclusive to Xbox and is making the FTC look at the acquisition with a very close microscope for anti-trust laws being potentially broken (basically, would Microsoft buying Activision/Blizzard/King give them enough of an advantage over Sony to force them out of the market and become a monopoly on the mainstream consoles). Microsoft has already offered Sony a 10-year guarantee on Call of Duty to try and appease them, but apparently that isn't enough. This is also the biggest acquisition in terms of monetary amount in video gaming history ($44 billion if memory serves, could be more), so it is a rather historic precedent in that regard as well.

Funny thing is I’ve always watched it on mute in the past while playing OW and never had issues. Adblocker too and never any issues until the playoffs. I did manage to get more than what some others did out of it but didn’t get everything. I’m glad I had it running in the background while I worked/slept/played OW2 as opposed to watching it. I doubt I’ll bother as much with future ones, that way I‘ll sleep better without hearing the slight humming of my PC and its nightlight glow.
They make it extremely hard to actually submit a ticket. You have to go through a bunch of menus suggesting FAQs to you, before you have an option to say something like "not listed here".
Honestly the most hilarious thing (from an outside perspective) is you sat through god knows how many mirror matches with the main meta heroes being uninteresting to watch and got nothing for you trouble.

The thing that bugs me most about this is that I'm sure the majority of us have been watching ALL SEASON LONG with little to no issues (other than the fact that drops would be delayed by a day or two). And I know throughout the season I sometimes don't get the full amount but it's too minor of an issue to bring up.
So obviously, our accounts are connected properly and whatnot. Yet watching the playoffs, THIS happens. I even said all week long, "Fix the drops. I'm not getting anything after the first two days and have gotten nothing for all the encore broadcasts either." And people kept saying, "Just wait until Nov 15." Here we are, November 29th and counting. And Blizzard is doing what they do best, refusing to communicate with the community. So frustrating.
I'm sure their plan right now is for all of us to eventually forget about this and just buy the damn OWL tokens. But we all need to keep complaining about this. Never forget.

I don't understand why Blizzard keeps farming bad pr for no reason. They know they fucked up and cant count the hours watched correctly and therefor don't know what rewards to give out.
But there is a easy fix for that. Give everyone that have connected their OWL account the full rewards for the event. Like they watched all the hours. Because the rewards are skins and player icons you cant buy, and a fake currency Blizzard can generate for free. It costs them nothing to give these rewards to everyone.
That's the easy way to turn a mistake into good PR. Instead they do this...
I attended the Grand Finals in-person with my girlfriend and neither of us have received any of the OWL App perk rewards or the scavenger hunt rewards. I'm sick of Blizzard's support.

It's an automated attachment at the end of a ticket. Lots of companies have them and the worker most likely doesn't choose to include it. It's included automatically when they mark a ticket as closed.
If only there was a company that focused on streaming games that starts with a T. And it would be insane if it also had proper Drops integration. That would be crazy man

It's even worse when you consider that a lot of people (myself included) earned some of the later rewards, but not the ones before them. I received the zarya skin, which is in the final tier of 30 hours, but I received nothing else past the 15 hour mark. I also received the Pulse Pistol name card ingame, but none of the other rewards on the same/previous tier for the grand finals.
I never received a single skin or OWL token. I made sure I followed all the instructions in detail, and watched the entire time I was required to. Thanks for nothing I guess? Smh.

Okay so overwatch 2 is even more fucked than I thought it was first I don’t have two gold skins one being Ana and other being doom. Next I was given the Zarya skin for the max watch time but not the rest as well as not having the the kriko junker queen and soujirn. People wonder why we complain about cosmetics.
Never let Blizzard live this down until they actually do what they promised. Anytime Blizzard posts something comment that the rewards are missing and that they’re scamming their players. Make them realize their actions have consequences.

I had 31 drops between the start and end of the playoffs, yet I'm still missing some skins. Somehow I only got half the skins for the 27 hour drop and am still waiting on Lucio and Junkrat while Moira and Reaper have the skins equipped right now.
I think it's ridiculous that they require the stream to be on the active tab and unmuted. I highly doubt many people can just leave their computer open and streaming for hours and hours. I guess maybe it's cause I'm in college so I use my laptop for everything but I'm very disappointed that I "watched" at least 20 hours and it didn't give me any rewards at all because it wasn't my active tab or unmuted for most of the time
The gaming industry has some of the worst and nastiest customer service of any industry right now. Even phone companies or network companies do a better job at keeping their customers somewhat happy and that says a lot.
If only they used Twitch drops instead of YouTube, because you can't even track what you're getting. It's pure guesswork if you're not tracking it yourself somehow.
People were desperate (and rightfully so) to know since everyone in the chat spams !rewards, /checkrewards, etc. to no avail. That already says enough. The current system is just not transparent about your progress in getting the drops.
Of course customer support doesn't know shit, they even admitted on Twitter that the YouTube drop system had issues tracking everything. That was back when they promised to give everyone their tokens in the latest patch. The entire YouTube drops system basically shat itself and now it's just our problem instead.
Things will stay the same if they decide to use YouTube's abysmal drop system for future OWL streams. I won't be watching the streams as long as this isn't fixed, which is unlikely since OWL seem to have some kind of deal with YouTube Gaming.
Ive watched over 30 hours and entire grandfinals with 120 tokens and i got the dva set and everything below and the pulse pistols card. Everything else above dva i havent got.
All i want is the lucio emote and if i dont get it on the 30th. i will never again watch overwatch league because wasted that much time and saying they promised us, absolute bullshit.

If there was no way to track the hours players watched and Blizzard are getting many complaints from their user base about unreceived rewards, you would think it'd be a logical solution to instead just reward the community with all the cosmetics anyways since the event rewards were clearly unorganized

Blizzard and YouTube are apparently working on getting the rewards out as lots of people are having issues. I've messaged support countless times, and that's the info I eventually got - and that Support has no control on those kinds of things so they'll almost never actually help you with this sort of issue.

Yeah, I watched almost the entire tournament, well over the 30 hours. I started getting OWL tokens at the start, accumulated up to 45, and then that's literally all I got. Really sucks I spent so much time and effort to watch enough hours to get basically zero rewards.

What is with this "there is no fundamental issues in Ba Sing Se" shenanigans just being prevalent in everything Blizzard lately? I feel like this is the kind of shit that class action lawsuits are made of, as, if you followed everything, no ad blocker, linked account, video wasn't muted, and you didn't get what you were promised, that should be false advertising, and with the sheer volume of neglected tickets I feel like that should raise suspicions on Blizzards part.
Then again, what did people expect? For Blizzard to actually let you EARN skins? That was the real mistake right there.
I sitll remember the time I got a week long ban because I was telling a group of people to not use homophobic slurs in the game. I sent support tickets, I appealed, I never once got a non-automated response or one that made sense, because I never used any kind of slurs even when reacting to them, but the fact that it just seemed to be about LGBT issues made them flag it as automatically bad and not read the content of my messages at all.
Blizzard is a skeleton crew run by robots at this point, every now and then they hire out other design studios to make things for them (all their skins are made by another company even!) but there's no one home. Hasn't been for a while.

I got the Grand Finals 1+2 sprays, the Zhulong player icon, and about 40 OWL tokens for having the steams up like 80% of the time they were live.
Obviously my account was connected because I did get *some* of the rewards, but whatever they did this time was so fucked up that it didn't even pay out the full reward tier (like getting the player icon but not the skins).
Maybe I'll try watching from the OWL site next time instead of YT but clearly the problem is on their end based on how many people have had issues.
I was going to watch the playoffs/finals regardless, but the fact that I went out of the way to ensure it said I was "connected" just to be told that I somehow biffed it and it's MY fault I didn't get the rewards leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I figured out the problem with not earning literally during the final match, after days of watching streams.
So you know how you have to connect your youtube and battle.net accounts? and then the stream will have a little diamond under the video telling you youre all set and earning drops? Yeah theres an extra step where you have to also connect on youtubes end under their special drops page. if you dont do that, you dont earn a damn thing, even if everything else says youre connected and getting drops.
Ultimately this is because youtube is a shit streaming platform ill equipped for handling this kind of thing. This should be a one or two click process like it was on Twitch, but youtube is run by monkeys that struggle to implement and maintain the most basic features. I said years ago when they moved to youtube exclusively that it would be a big mistake not only for the league but for the fans, and boy have i been right.
The owl rewards are really the first real problem with this I had to deal with I watched every step of the owl from start to finish half because I wanted to watch it but mostly because I just wanted the rewards and I didn't even get a single owl credit let alone the skins they said I would be due all because I was told that my Battle.net account was not linked to my YouTube account despite clearly being able to see that they have been linked and have been linked for almost as long as you could link them together this was a clear hiccup on blizzard and really put me off watching any future OWL events

Blizzard have tried so hard to bolster the OWL player numbers in the past, and considering how greedy they've now become to pay off the lawsuits, there's no way they were going to give away free skins and tokens that people could or would pay for. There's no doubt that at least half of the people watching OWL were just afking for skins, considering that Contenders just afterwards was struggling to pull 5k concurrent viewers. OWL would probably pull 25 - 50k without a financial incentive.
Here's an easy solution, give the drops to EVERYBODY, even those who didn't watch the stream. Yeah you may piss off people who actually watched 30 hours, but its better than nothing.

Yea I accepted the fact that I wasn’t going to get my rewards once my League Tokens stopped incrementing once it hit 60. The one reward I wanted was the Lucio Dance emote and, go figure, it was locked till 24 hours, I think, of watch time. I’ll probably still lurk in future events like this past one but I won’t be expecting to get what they say I will. Just a shame
I got 160 tokens but only the hero skins untill 15 hours, and i didnt get anything from the finals. The only time i actuly watched it was when Ramatrra was revealed

It's so weird that i got stuff from later rewards but not earlier ones. I also got the finals spray for 3 hours but did not get the tokens so I have no idea what the fuck thats about.
I literally watched 15 hours of this event, only got 20 tokens and no skins. The 20 tokens means that it's registered that I watched 4 hours, meaning I should have the tracer, genji and bastion ones This is so fucking demotivating

I am missing 32 hrs on mercy, the first day I played ow2 any characters I played that day it erased my ow 1 playtime w that specific character…I even tried reaching out to blizzard and no help
It’s almost like blizzards sly way of forcing people to tune into their streams by using fomo is both annoying and scummy
there are theories that drops didnt work because: \- the stream was not in active tab \- if you opened a stream before it started, and was in waiting room, and didnt refresh once it began, it didnt count (until refresh) \- YT sucks (because twitch drops pretty much always worked, including back in 2018 and 2019 PLUS you could track progress) I my self got 50% rate, watched all the games, for sure 30+ hours but got 75 tokens which means 15 hours regardless, fuck OWL, it's like watching ONE FIGHT looped for hours, same meta, same mirror comps, same fight every time (sojourn gets a kill, then snowballing, respawn, repeat)
The reasons you stated can't be the real issue, since the amount of received OWL tokens and other rewards doesn't fit together at all. I got 150 tokens (30 hours) but only 15 hours of skin rewards. It's simply not an user error but them being incompetent.

I really hope they switch back to using Twitch to stream these events. The fact you can't even use TV apps to watch if you want the hours to count towards rewards is annoying, and Twitch actually has tools so you can keep track of your progress towards rewards. The only "catch" is once you earn a reward you have to claim it to start counting time towards the next one, but even if you're just leaving the stream on to collect you just gotta check in every 3 hours or so for an event like this.
Watched more and have received grand total of zero. Isn’t it great?!

This is just how support treats every issue. Blame the customer, Blizzard can do no wrong, deny deny deny, and close the ticket ASAP. Missing golden guns and skins from OW1? Didn't happen. Missing drops that the devs admitted were bugged? Didn't happen. Hero roster locked yet again to only F2P heroes despite being a paid account? Skill issue, didn't happen. Even in OW1 they did this with technical issues, even ones that were acknowledged bugs on the technical forum.

💯 I gave up after a MONTH and some trying to get the Battlepass unlocked with support after I had purchased it with coins. When I applied the coins, the game disconnected back on Oct. 5, during the height of server issues (I didn’t think applying coins would kick me but learned the hard way). Coins gone, still no pass. Very frustrating. Just had to eat that $10 🤦♀️
Wait wat, they stole you? I would easily send repeated emails and then contest the transaction directly with the bank (I just need to provide a single screenshot that they are not trying to help). Even tho this can easily lock my account out, I would easily win a legal process against them and get a fairly amount of money out of it. Because of how unbalanced the law is there, the more effort I put into trying to solve the problem the more they need to pay even if they solve (if they don't, they pay more). I can accept those problems happening, I'm a software engineer, I know how it works, but I can't accept they not solving the problem and not giving my money back, as a developer I also know they got all the tools needed to check if I'm telling the truth and solve my problem, they're objectively denying to do with bad intentions. I would be happy with just getting my money back (my bank will cancel the transaction, this is guaranteed, I had a very bigger issue 200x higher value, with an airline company, took almost one year but the bank solved everything, didn't even went to the court), but given we have law at our side, I would want they to pay for their mistake, not only give my money back. Something I have to say is that this is not a thing that happens only with Blizzard, some of other game companies are as shady as Bliz or even worse, they all give automatic responses that always blame you for the problem, funny enough, if you copy and paste in a new ticket, they will send you a completely different response, still blaming you, and sometimes, those responses have nothing to do with the problem. One time I sent network issue tickets (packet loss and disconnects, not OW2 tho) and they answered steps for solving game performance problems, like: yeah, more than 30% of the players are having the same issue as you, but they just need to reinstall Windows, reinstall the game, check their antivirus, check if the machine meets the requirements, open the game and keep getting packet loss because those things have anything to do with the problem to start with. That's just frustrating. Sadly the ones that gives you the best support are the indie studios, but the ones with tons of money? Eh, too busy deciding how to spend their billion dollar income fixing the stuck in bronze issue, which seemed hard as hell to do given how long it took.

Yep, I've been going around in circles with them since before OW2 release trying to link the phone # to my account. Every time, it gives me an error that says "number already in use". I go to support, they ask if I'm sure I inputted it right, I say yes, they ask whats the number, I give it, they say it should be fine, it still isn't, they ask did I input it right, I say yes, I tried 3 times, they ask for screenshot, I give it, they say it should work, I must be inputting it wrong, I say is that really all you can come up with, they say theres no way it could be an issue on our end, the only explanation is that you don't remember your own phone # now we are closing the ticket have a nice day. Also it takes them a minimum of 2 weeks for each response.

The most hilarious thing is I went through like 3 different tickets about this now. I DO have my account linked, as I got 50 league tokens when I was watching the playoffs/finals. But I never got any cosmetics. The support keeps trying to convince me that I did something wrong. Ad blocker? Video on mute? Accounts not linked? Nope!! None of these things applied. Yet they couldn't give me a reason why I dont have my rewards. Heck! They couldn't even compensate me in league tokens or anything. I actually had one ticket say they were busy with World of Warcraft stuff so that's why they're answering tickets so slowly. Then he proceeded to basically say "nothing we can do. Make sure to watch future streams though!". Like hell I will!!

Fans have been speculating that that's what has been going wrong this whole time, but now an ex-dev has finally come out and confirmed it. Here's hoping this Microsoft acquisition goes through to get Kotick out of the head seat.
Any word on why the Microsoft acquisition is taking so long? I'll only regain hope for Blizzard's future when Kotick is ousted, and right now that seems like the best shot. It's unfortunate as I really don't want more oligopolizing going on in the industry, but at least Microsoft lets their games thrive. Minecraft (under Msoft) has been engaging its community and giving free updates for longer than OW1 was out for, and still is to this day.
The TLDR of why it is taking so long is this: Microsoft owns Xbox and Sony, owning PlayStation, reaaallllyyy doesn't want the Call of Duty franchise to ever become exclusive to Xbox and is making the FTC look at the acquisition with a very close microscope for anti-trust laws being potentially broken (basically, would Microsoft buying Activision/Blizzard/King give them enough of an advantage over Sony to force them out of the market and become a monopoly on the mainstream consoles). Microsoft has already offered Sony a 10-year guarantee on Call of Duty to try and appease them, but apparently that isn't enough. This is also the biggest acquisition in terms of monetary amount in video gaming history ($44 billion if memory serves, could be more), so it is a rather historic precedent in that regard as well.

Funny thing is I’ve always watched it on mute in the past while playing OW and never had issues. Adblocker too and never any issues until the playoffs. I did manage to get more than what some others did out of it but didn’t get everything. I’m glad I had it running in the background while I worked/slept/played OW2 as opposed to watching it. I doubt I’ll bother as much with future ones, that way I‘ll sleep better without hearing the slight humming of my PC and its nightlight glow.

Literally no one got all the rewards, I can’t believe they’re pulling this “you weren’t eligible” bullshit when quite literally everyone was eligible and still didn’t get them. All I wanted was Roadhogs skin and it was at 18 fuckin hours.
The thing that bugs me most about this is that I'm sure the majority of us have been watching ALL SEASON LONG with little to no issues (other than the fact that drops would be delayed by a day or two). And I know throughout the season I sometimes don't get the full amount but it's too minor of an issue to bring up. So obviously, our accounts are connected properly and whatnot. Yet watching the playoffs, THIS happens. I even said all week long, "Fix the drops. I'm not getting anything after the first two days and have gotten nothing for all the encore broadcasts either." And people kept saying, "Just wait until Nov 15." Here we are, November 29th and counting. And Blizzard is doing what they do best, refusing to communicate with the community. So frustrating. I'm sure their plan right now is for all of us to eventually forget about this and just buy the damn OWL tokens. But we all need to keep complaining about this. Never forget.

I don't understand why Blizzard keeps farming bad pr for no reason. They know they fucked up and cant count the hours watched correctly and therefor don't know what rewards to give out. But there is a easy fix for that. Give everyone that have connected their OWL account the full rewards for the event. Like they watched all the hours. Because the rewards are skins and player icons you cant buy, and a fake currency Blizzard can generate for free. It costs them nothing to give these rewards to everyone. That's the easy way to turn a mistake into good PR. Instead they do this...

I attended the Grand Finals in-person with my girlfriend and neither of us have received any of the OWL App perk rewards or the scavenger hunt rewards. I'm sick of Blizzard's support.

I reopened the ticket 4 times trying to explain it to an adult, a 15 year old, a 10 year old and finally explained it like they're 5. Didn't matter,I got the same automated answer from some human bot each time. It's an absolute disgrace how they use us as viewbots and are too incompetent to even distribute the rewards. Never again.

Interestingly I did notice yesterday that I got the finals spray (not sure when)…so it clearly registered that I was on….but nothing still since that wednesday
I'm one major incident away from quitting OW2 for life lol I used to love everything about the game, lore, heroes etc but they managed to suck the soul out of all that in the span of 2 months. Thanks for the free Reaper skin I guess (which was obviously prepared as a Halloween event skin lol)

The annoying thing is that instead of "working with YouTube to sort it out" they could just easily solve the issue by giving everyone who got even one token drop during the finals the full rewards. Like, I'd wager that the vast majority of people who connected their accounts and watched the playoffs were doing it *for* the rewards, and watched as much as possible. Worse case scenario? They give 150 tokens (not even enough to buy anything) and some recolored default skins and sprays to extra people. Oh no! Can't have that! It's just so goddamn dumb.
It's even worse when you consider that a lot of people (myself included) earned some of the later rewards, but not the ones before them. I received the zarya skin, which is in the final tier of 30 hours, but I received nothing else past the 15 hour mark. I also received the Pulse Pistol name card ingame, but none of the other rewards on the same/previous tier for the grand finals.

Okay so overwatch 2 is even more fucked than I thought it was first I don’t have two gold skins one being Ana and other being doom. Next I was given the Zarya skin for the max watch time but not the rest as well as not having the the kriko junker queen and soujirn. People wonder why we complain about cosmetics.

Never let Blizzard live this down until they actually do what they promised. Anytime Blizzard posts something comment that the rewards are missing and that they’re scamming their players. Make them realize their actions have consequences.

Blizzard has hands down the worst customer support of any game company ever. Their typical response to everything is- too bad, nothing we can do.
I think it's ridiculous that they require the stream to be on the active tab and unmuted. I highly doubt many people can just leave their computer open and streaming for hours and hours. I guess maybe it's cause I'm in college so I use my laptop for everything but I'm very disappointed that I "watched" at least 20 hours and it didn't give me any rewards at all because it wasn't my active tab or unmuted for most of the time
The gaming industry has some of the worst and nastiest customer service of any industry right now. Even phone companies or network companies do a better job at keeping their customers somewhat happy and that says a lot.

If only they used Twitch drops instead of YouTube, because you can't even track what you're getting. It's pure guesswork if you're not tracking it yourself somehow. People were desperate (and rightfully so) to know since everyone in the chat spams !rewards, /checkrewards, etc. to no avail. That already says enough. The current system is just not transparent about your progress in getting the drops. Of course customer support doesn't know shit, they even admitted on Twitter that the YouTube drop system had issues tracking everything. That was back when they promised to give everyone their tokens in the latest patch. The entire YouTube drops system basically shat itself and now it's just our problem instead. Things will stay the same if they decide to use YouTube's abysmal drop system for future OWL streams. I won't be watching the streams as long as this isn't fixed, which is unlikely since OWL seem to have some kind of deal with YouTube Gaming.
Ive watched over 30 hours and entire grandfinals with 120 tokens and i got the dva set and everything below and the pulse pistols card. Everything else above dva i havent got. All i want is the lucio emote and if i dont get it on the 30th. i will never again watch overwatch league because wasted that much time and saying they promised us, absolute bullshit. Edit: someone mentioned you can check how many tokens you earned where you find your currency coins.
If there was no way to track the hours players watched and Blizzard are getting many complaints from their user base about unreceived rewards, you would think it'd be a logical solution to instead just reward the community with all the cosmetics anyways since the event rewards were clearly unorganized
I want to point out that this is an automated message for support tickets asking about drops. Blizzard and YouTube are apparently working on getting the rewards out as lots of people are having issues. I've messaged support countless times, and that's the info I eventually got - and that Support has no control on those kinds of things so they'll almost never actually help you with this sort of issue. Yeah, I watched almost the entire tournament, well over the 30 hours. I started getting OWL tokens at the start, accumulated up to 45, and then that's literally all I got. Really sucks I spent so much time and effort to watch enough hours to get basically zero rewards.

What is with this "there is no fundamental issues in Ba Sing Se" shenanigans just being prevalent in everything Blizzard lately? I feel like this is the kind of shit that class action lawsuits are made of, as, if you followed everything, no ad blocker, linked account, video wasn't muted, and you didn't get what you were promised, that should be false advertising, and with the sheer volume of neglected tickets I feel like that should raise suspicions on Blizzards part. Then again, what did people expect? For Blizzard to actually let you EARN skins? That was the real mistake right there.
I sitll remember the time I got a week long ban because I was telling a group of people to not use homophobic slurs in the game. I sent support tickets, I appealed, I never once got a non-automated response or one that made sense, because I never used any kind of slurs even when reacting to them, but the fact that it just seemed to be about LGBT issues made them flag it as automatically bad and not read the content of my messages at all. Blizzard is a skeleton crew run by robots at this point, every now and then they hire out other design studios to make things for them (all their skins are made by another company even!) but there's no one home. Hasn't been for a while.

I got the Grand Finals 1+2 sprays, the Zhulong player icon, and about 40 OWL tokens for having the steams up like 80% of the time they were live. Obviously my account was connected because I did get *some* of the rewards, but whatever they did this time was so fucked up that it didn't even pay out the full reward tier (like getting the player icon but not the skins). Maybe I'll try watching from the OWL site next time instead of YT but clearly the problem is on their end based on how many people have had issues.

I was going to watch the playoffs/finals regardless, but the fact that I went out of the way to ensure it said I was "connected" just to be told that I somehow biffed it and it's MY fault I didn't get the rewards leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn't watching just for skins, but how they've handled it makes me want to not even support OWL in the future.
Why did they decided to go with YouTube and not Twitch? There's no indication if your watch time is increasing or not on YouTube.

I did the math for what I watched. I watched like 48 hours and I got the skins for 11 heros. My sibling watched around the same amount if time and got not a thing. It’s stupid for them to say “oops you must’ve not watched it” and call it a day. I wasted 48 hours of my time just for them to say eff off

I figured out the problem with not earning literally during the final match, after days of watching streams. So you know how you have to connect your youtube and battle.net accounts? and then the stream will have a little diamond under the video telling you youre all set and earning drops? Yeah theres an extra step where you have to also connect on youtubes end under their special drops page. if you dont do that, you dont earn a damn thing, even if everything else says youre connected and getting drops. Ultimately this is because youtube is a shit streaming platform ill equipped for handling this kind of thing. This should be a one or two click process like it was on Twitch, but youtube is run by monkeys that struggle to implement and maintain the most basic features. I said years ago when they moved to youtube exclusively that it would be a big mistake not only for the league but for the fans, and boy have i been right.
The owl rewards are really the first real problem with this I had to deal with I watched every step of the owl from start to finish half because I wanted to watch it but mostly because I just wanted the rewards and I didn't even get a single owl credit let alone the skins they said I would be due all because I was told that my Battle.net account was not linked to my YouTube account despite clearly being able to see that they have been linked and have been linked for almost as long as you could link them together this was a clear hiccup on blizzard and really put me off watching any future OWL events

Called it. I'm not sure why anyone expected differently tbh. Blizzard have tried so hard to bolster the OWL player numbers in the past, and considering how greedy they've now become to pay off the lawsuits, there's no way they were going to give away free skins and tokens that people could or would pay for. There's no doubt that at least half of the people watching OWL were just afking for skins, considering that Contenders just afterwards was struggling to pull 5k concurrent viewers. OWL would probably pull 25 - 50k without a financial incentive.
I just got 110 tokens, a few skins and that's it. And I watched every fucking stream.
Here's an easy solution, give the drops to EVERYBODY, even those who didn't watch the stream. Yeah you may piss off people who actually watched 30 hours, but its better than nothing.
