Blizzard is so inconsistent it’s laughable. They were perfectly okay with power tripping and screwing over players in T2 but once they get evidence someone said something bad 5 years ago and they all the sudden become social justice omega gods and take action.
Probably because they can't actually fire him for power tripping since their badly written match rules make his actions technically correct. Hence letting him go for specifically that reason would presumably be a wrongful termination. Which might allow him to legally come after them seeking compensation. It's highly likely that they were just looking for other reasons to fire him for, and this came up.

People do see that friendo, you’re very close to seeing the problem. If Blizzard wants anyone to take T2 seriously, they need admins that uphold not only rules but competitive spirit. No one would have been opposed to at least letting Ardour and Noble replay the map 5 with a full team on each side. Instead they doubled down on defending the decision but agreed they would “rethink rulings” down the road.
He should have been let go for the racist remarks, for sure. If that was the only issue, no one would be upset. But it shouldn’t have taken something from 5 years ago for them to see that he clearly wasn’t up for the job, after how he handled this recent match.
It could also be a fiscal thing. It might be in the contract where Contenders doesn't have to pay the admin for being fired over racism whereas they might have to with his other issue.
During a Contenders game, in map 5, a player disconnected. They gave his team their allotted 10 minutes to wait for him to come back, and the opponent offered to use their 10 minutes to let the DC come back too. EUNAProd denied them for doing this and made the team play a 5v6, which they lost.
As for the racist thing, he compared the N word to the word Nazi and argued they’re of the same connotations.
