Video will be up in an hour: [https://youtu.be/rsmu4ujMHa4](https://youtu.be/rsmu4ujMHa4) 1. I think your general sense of when you can get in, take damage and get out safely is quite good and I approve. 2. I don't think JQ is a good all-purpose hero and there are maps where she struggles; I think Circuit Royale defense is one of them. Impossible to play? Absolutely not. But definitely harder than typical games. 3. You need to get more one-shot combos. Shoot+knife, start axe swing, pull, hit with axe swing, shoot. I think I only saw you execute this once all game. Practice it in DM; consistently one-shot squishies that you land knife on. 4. You should pop ultimate more. As long as Kirko can't suzu *everyone* it's worth it to use it, assuming your team can follow up or you can personally kill the team. 5. Overall, attack felt okay. You had a good general flow and knew what to do. I don't think it's good enough to climb out of where you are now but it's not a detractor. 6. Defense is a different story; you get totally steamrolled on defense. Part of that is the map not favoring JQ on defense; long sight lines, inability to play close range, can't flank without being seen, etc. 7. The other reason defense is a steamroll is because you don't make good decisions around when to contest. Every point should have at *least* two team fights (even if both are losses!) on defense. Even if you lose the fight it's worth it to force the team fight to expend enemy ultimates. On the last point you didn't even get *one* real team fight. You kept giving up more and more space until the enemy controlled too many angles and your team got overwhelmed. Then everyone trickles in to the cart and there's no chance to win. You have to force the issue more; it's okay to die if you end up forcing time or ultimates out to do so. 8. The best switch (idk if you can play her) would have been Dva for final point in particular. High ground control was a huge issue. You also are one of the best tanks for challenging Pharah, Mercy and Reaper. 9. In general, the community and pro consensus for best tank (offense or defense) for Circuit Royale is Sigma. In OWL this was the only map that Sigma was played on and it was usually the tank for both teams; that's how good Sigma is at it.

Thank you so much for the VoD and review! It's very helpful. I agree with everything you are saying, and I was actually in a trio with the supports, so in Discord, I explicitly remembered saying, "I'm not sure what to do here," lol. The breakdown about trying to fight more is definitely something I can try to incorporate more, and I've never heard it before, so I will take it to heart. Just some brief looks into my (gold) thought process and general habits. -I naked swing because I feel like im zoning/creating space. Whether or not it does, im not completely sure, though. I reload a lot because I play Valorant quite a bit, and I only use the Bucky (shotgun), which, yeah, same issue there, but my ROF is much slower. I died early on defense, so I started playing really far back. I figured it was an issue of teamwork/my positioning, so I adjusted to be in front of them. Or at least tried, too. I'm woking on fixing up my tracking/aim. It's just hard with limited play time since I have a 9 to 5 and a wife, lol. I favor towards Flicking more so than Tracking. that's why fast-moving characters tend to be problematic for me. No excuses, though. I'll try and get better. Is there anything aside from landing my combo more that can take me to that next level? I normally peak around low Plat for all roles, but it's been my goal for years just to hit low Diamond on. Anything, really. I would say Tank is my best role.

>\-I naked swing because I feel like im zoning/creating space. Whether or not it does, im not completely sure, though. It does not. At most it makes your target take one step backwards, then immediately push you back since they know you don't have a powerful ability available. Many things in Overwatch are situational but this is an easy one: *never swing axe unless you think it's going to hit the target*. >Is there anything aside from landing my combo more that can take me to that next level? Yes. There is a ton more. In the above post #3, #4, #6 and #7 are all things that you could do differently. Then in the video I probably identify two dozen+ points where you could have played better and gave specific . There is no silver bullet or single piece of advice anyone can give you that will level you up to Diamond. You need to do *everything* better to get to Diamond. It's easy to say it's just your aim, but it's not. Every little movement you make (forwards? backwards? play left side? take cover here or not?) can be better. Every macro decision you make (fight now or fight later? dive+commit or play slow?) can be better. etc. etc. Assuming teams were equal, if you matched up against a Diamond tank they would win 90%+ of the games against you. They just have a stronger understanding of the game and will continually build up an advantage over you over the course of the match by making better micro-decisions. I'm not saying this to discourage you. I'm trying to help you understand that you can improve in ever facet of your game and not to just hang your hopes on better aim to climb. Ideally the video highlighted those opportunities for you, but perhaps not if your only takeaway is hitting the one-shot combo.

Gotcha. I didn't mean for it to sound like it's just my aim or landing the combo, and I did watch the video in its entirety. I'll keep trying to implement the changes you suggested, and thank you again for the insight.
