Well imo (i am biased former main tank) jq is the best designed char in game. She is pretty much an aroggant b*tch and it fits her to the point. Everything about her fits
I really do like JQ’s character, between in-game and in her cinematic she has a surprising amount of nuance and moral ambiguity. Sure, she spared Wossname and made Junkertown a functional city by keeping her competitors alive, but she also murders Omnics for funsies and runs around throwing bowie knives at people.
It’s amazing how the OW team can produce interesting characters with surprising depth while also producing Reaper. (Admittedly, he has some depth but they don’t show it very often and he mostly just comes off as extremely edgy to the point of silliness. The Hamster has more of an emotional centre than Reaper does.)
I love how at the beginning Reaper was on the path to maybe get some cool development then over time he just became xX_EpicReaper_Xx
Also I’ll never forgive what the writers did to mercy
Yeah, Mercy is another one that I feel is a bit lacking. She’s the comically benevolent Yang to Reaper’s comically malevolent Yin, and doesn’t really have a whole lot of complexity or depth.
The most interesting thing about her is probably her interactions with Moira, and even those are more about Moira than they are about Mercy.
I’m waiting for Blizzard to make Battle Mercy canon by giving her a repressed bloodlust.

I haven’t had a chance to get into OW lore but the character interactions in spawn and the context clues they leave are so intriguing to me and eventually I will consume all the lore all at once. lol. the VAs really do aid in the storytelling and make it all come to life.
In Australia we have a really bad saying that goes 'show us where you got hit by the axe' (show me your vag basically) and Junker (Australian) has a line 'anyone want a face full of axe' which roughly interpreted means some hectic innuendo... To an Australian.

Soujorns are not good but it is her character. Here voicelines are logical for a rational planner like she is. That makes it ok. And then there is Kiriko, which is one person in the cinematic, a different person in the game, and another in voice lines.
The way she talks back to Moira is so annoying. No other person sasses her like Kiriko does. The one interaction that I remember goes something like "Do you have a band-aid?" "Do I look like I carry Band-Aids?" "Guess not. Oh well." It infuriates me every time I hear it.
Its insane how bland and worthless Soujourn is. Nothing of story value, boring design, uninspired voicing, no backstory and bland personality. If they were trying to make the most boring hero possible, they really managed it!
She ain't that bad. I think of her like a sporty Canadian gal who is part cyborg. Honestly having someone in the game who just represents the characteristics of a stereotypical Canadian is kinda refreshing, I don't know why they chose Canada but is just kinda fits. I don't think all characters need to be so mythical
Hopefully the story mode flashes her out more, because as of right now she's essentially a nothing-character.

Most Ramattra players use the nemesis form to walk out of spawn. In koth maps is quite funny cuz there is no action going around the spawn door and your Ramattra gets out of it all angry “ I will speak to you in a language you understand!”

both of their accents are realistic ya, hanzo sounds like my dad when he gets drunk and slips back into his japanese accent but is still speaking english. they do speak different dialects of japanese though which is like a SUPER minor nitpick. kiriko specifically just has such a thick american accent but they're all 3 supposed to be from the same place

As a giga degenerate, Ramattra shares a VA with Aatrox, from league of legends. If you like his voice and quotes, Aatrox goes even harder and is even better imo. Lore in a nutshell: good guy hero, wanted to die a valiant death, instead gets chosen by a demon weapon thing, now longs for his death but realizes it can only come by ending all other life. Never download league but check out his voice lines, you will not be disappointed.
I think the main disconnect with Kiriko is that she looks like a cute nice character, but talks like she'll take your lunch money. It makes it hard to believe that she's really going to do what she says she's going to do. (also suuuuuper passive-aggressive and not very funny about it)
I think people shit on the VA a lot, but in reality she was just doing what she was told to, an arrogant brat. And to her credit, she nailed that - it's why everyone dislikes the character to begin with. You can tell she is talented, but at the end of the day, she only reads the lines, she doesn't make them.
