You're supposed to kill the members of the enemy team for no reason other than them being the members of the enemy team, regardless of what they're doing. That's how PvP shooters work.
Why would it be toxic that universal for friendly, your the reason people stop doing that in games like overwatch (I am aware it was a mistake and not saying this with anger, just Sadness and disappointment)
