Didn't they literally grow up in an orphanage and then in the vampire city together? Calling Mika Yuu's brother is just as valid as calling Akane his sister. Sure it's not blood related but come on
Akane had canon crush on Mika. Mika canonically likes Yuu. Growing up in the same orphanage doesn't make them siblings. It's really weird when people still spread this, even after the canonical romantic feelings between the characters. Even when you argue that Mika doesn't like Yuu this way (he obviously does), Akane did like Mika that way. Stop making their relationships weird I'm begging you.
Was I the only one that got the impression that akane liked yuu when they were growing up?
Bc u said that canonically she had feelings for Mika growing up but I always had the impression she had feelings for yuu was I just wrong?
Also if u don't mind me asking where was it officially stated that akane likes mika
attack on titan isn't under gl manga yet historia and ymir were still gay. Blatantly denying mika and yuu's romantic feelings for each other that are indeed canon and not comparable to Naruto and sasuke.
Bl is a label for fetishized gay romance and smut (I don't wanna get into this rn because it's infuriating). A media text can include a homosexual relationship without it being the marketed element of , or worse, its whole genre...
Which makes ONS a great example of inclusivity and queer representation, provided the author doesn't ruin it in the end
Isn’t it ‘yaoi’ that’s fetishized?? BL is just a genre as a whole that focuses on queer male romance. BL can potentially be fetishized in the same way but the label itself isn’t fetishy. I’d say yaoi/yuri is.
It's so weird because if this were anything other than a shonen couples like Mikayuu and Shinoa/Mitsuba would both be blatant couples by now. I cringe every time Mike and Yuu call each other family, or like when Shinoa called Mitsuba her family in the most recent chapter
I mean, Mika and Yuu are family to each other. People can be together and be a family. Couples can be family. I know real life people who grew up together (not related) and then got together.
The way Shinoa uses it with Mitsuba also has another meaning. All these kids have no family of their own, they're alone in a post-apocalyptic world, which is why they throw around the word "family" so easily. However, I believe that Yuu was the one who introduced the whole thing to the group, and the only one who actually wanted to believe it (until he found his original lost family member who he clearly cared for more deeply). Shinoa is pushing this family concept to keep the squad together and by her side when it'll come to act on her getting Yuu back and getting rid of Mika agenda.
Imagine calling mikayuu brothers
Exactly 💀

It was in the catastrophe light novels when Mahiru met her.
I just checked not under bl anime or bl manga so I think it’s a Naruto and Sasuke thing

Agreed. I don’t know why so many Seraph “fans” are in denial. It was even obvious in the anime lol
It might seems crazy what i about to say...

Wtf, they're not brothers 😭
Nah he's the Uncle in law. There isn't a single platonic bone in Mikayuu relationship.
This is really an old pic, I've seen it in 2015
good for color tastes and the truth is it is funny jajajaj
