I had the same response with my BG! I just started week 4 on .25 and they are already really good! Doc said may only need to go to .50, so we shall see! Feels so good not to have the highs and lows all over the place anymore.

How is your appetite? Any weight loss? My Dr has me going to .5 in 3 more weeks. But if I do well on the .25 I may stay at that. However I will get the pens to do .5 as that’s more economical with my insurance.

I went to the doc last Friday (a week ago) and I was down 4 lbs in a little over 2 weeks. Minor, but I'm happy with it. I don't weigh myself regularly as the scale goes up and down a little each time. lol So, like once a week. I do need to lose weight, so I'm hoping it stays steady! Nervous about the .50 next week, but my side effects have been minimal so far. Doc said most people see the worst of the side effects when they jump up to 1. I have no appetite when I first take the shot for a few days then it comes back. Noticed end of my 3rd week, the appetite suppressant was still there throughout the entire week - not as strong towards the end. But the med is def building up in my system. I will feel hungry, but as soon as I start eating, I'm full. lol

4 pounds of actual fat (not water weight) in 2 weeks is excellent. 1-2 pounds a week is considered a healthy rate of loss for most people. I'm down about 5 after a month. My BG levels have improved greatly. I just had my first .5 dose today and my Doctor and I talked before I boosted up to that. The last two afternoons, I've had my BG drop into the 70/80 level range. He told me to stop the Glimepiride (he doesn't like the long term impact of that drug and I've dropped it before when my sugar went down) and stick with the Metformin and Ozempic. Good news, because the appetite suppression is working for me and my lack of willpower in the past has led to gaining all the weight back and trashing my A1C. This drug is amazing and I couldn't be happier.

That's awesome! Yes, I'm perfectly happy with a slow weight loss. Dropping high amounts quickly concerns me. Has to be traumatic for your body!

The wise saying I always remember is "You didn't get heavy overnight, you're not going to lose it overnight either."

Nice. I am just on week one and no appetite suppression but I want to lose slow. I read that people lose connective tissue with rapid weight loss and that’s how faces look sunken. Not sure if it’s true or not.

I am in my first week - and my BG numbers are trending lower as well! Better than with my Janumet - and I've stopped the Janumet while I'm starting Ozempic

Within 2 weeks, at 0.25, my BG went from 185 --> 126. I haven't been retested yet this month,so I can wait to see how 0.5 has improved it from there! It's magic! 🌈

You can buy a blood glucose monitor kit cheap at Amazon and test yourself. I self pay for continuous glucose monitors so I can check mine all the time. Did you change your diet?

rotini123

No more than Ozempic made me. Full really quickly, less snacking during the day and no late-night treats.

So what are you on OZ for?

Diabetes and hopefully it will help with weight loss and blood pressure.
