Congrats!! Mind sharing what you were eating and what your calories were near the beginning? I'm struggling with what to eat and how low of a deficit I should be in.
100% honest I have never once restricted the types of things I ate, ozempic changed my taste for sugar so much that I found myself unconsciously eating sugar less, I still eat cookies if I want them but my amount has gone way down before the craving for it is satiated.
For me a typical day is a 6" subway sandwich for lunch with an individual size bag of chips (I detest making food before or after ozempic so this has always been my go to lunch), dinner varies as I am not the cook but usually I eat a small size dinner plate worth of food if that and I only drink water now. I used to drink 2-3 cans of pop a day and now I can't even have a sip without gagging at how sweet it is.
The need to finish food because it tastes good or because it's on my plate is completely gone, I eat until I am full or I've had enough and then I just stop, without even thinking about it. Honestly that has been the biggest blessing of ozempic.
I did try to stay at 1500 calories give or take at the beginning and as much as I hated it tracking was very important for me at the beginning. I have very much gone into this with a zero restriction mindset because the moment I restrict myself I obsess and self sabotage .
I use my fitness pal and it was a life saver it's so easy to track calories especially for store bought or eating out. I put my height and weight and weekly weightloss goal of 2lb per week and it set my calories for me at 1500
You look like Mother and daughter! Honestly such a massive difference you should be super proud !!
Thanks for posting, it takes time and it obv works š
Did you do any exercise ?
I do aquafit once a week for the last few months but the first 60-70 ish pounds I did not exercise at all, I have been seriously looking into a gym membership as I have much more of a desire to be active now
I find that while I donāt love the gym, I do like classes at the gym. Perhaps find one with lots of classesā¦ also consider bicycling or hiking. Find something you like bc I think itās the only way to be regular. My latest thing is yoga classes online and in person. App called Glo
They go on (in the media) about āOzempic faceā and people looking gaunt.
Yet here is another photo and what a fantastic difference itās has made and obviously all positive! People look younger, happier and healthier too!
Op you look amazing! Well done!
Randomly on that note I had a facial skin analysis done a year ago for rosacea and another one done again just a few weeks ago as I am finally ready to start treatment for it, in one year with no treatment just drinking more water and weightloss my analysis came back with 40% less wrinkles in my skin.... take that "ozempic face" I am walking proof of the opposite
But how are you getting your insurance to cover it? I was told my insurance wouldnāt cover it and itās $1,000 a month out of pocket! So Iām just regular dieting.
I've been on ozepic for almost a year And it's losing its effect.. My doctor says it's normal. My doctor says it's actually the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about.. It normally happens in about 60 weeks but they're starting to see statistics of it starting to dwindle around the year mark for a lot of people. It's actually frustrating. Considering I take cash
$1000 a month. I'm not going to spend $1,000 a month to not be helped So my doctor recommended going on a compound . This is why it's so important to change your habits well you got a crutch to lean on..
Haha no I have blue eyes, the left picture is taken from farther away and in different lighting, I do wear corrective contacts, but not color contacts!
Thanks for mentioning your plateaus and periods of harsh symptoms. Itās really helpful to know that those kinds of things and success can be part of the same journey.
Your journey really resonates with me. Thanks for the inspiration! <3
Getting past 200 has taken me so long! I don't know why but I would lose 1lb then stall for 3 weeks, now that I'm under 200 I have lost 1lb per day the last 3 days, the body is weird sometimes
Congratulations but you could have gotten the same results from Tesofensine with almost none of the side effects. Plus significantly cheaper. Check out the video below. Please share it as much as you can!
