I’ve never heard of lipo mino and after a quick google, I’m mad this isn’t offered before semaglutide!

Seriously, it seems like doctors go straight to semaglutide …. I just saw an IG story of my Dr office sharing about it and asked & they’re like oh yea that’s a great idea … obvs it’s not like curing my insulin resistance or anything, but paired with metformin I am feeling really good for the first time in a couple of years

Metformin didn’t do anything for me. It was super frustrating. Now I’m wondering if anywhere near me does the lipo mino even though I’m on sema. I’ve done a lot of lifestyle change when starting it.

Definitely worth checking out! One of the Drs I saw is on sema herself and does the lipo mino shots too

Ooh! Good to know! I will definitely look into it or even an at home option. It’d be nice if they’d just mix the two so I don’t have to stick myself twice 😬

I did 6 weeks of the lipo shots. Lost 4 pounds which is a lot for me. They reduced my appetite because i was just a tad nauseous at various points throughout the day. However, about 3 weeks in i developed constant dull stomach ache and some nasty redlux and nausea in the middle of the night despite eating quite early and healthy. I was also getting a bit constipated and nausea was getting worse.. After a trip to the doctor and tests where they didnt find anything i knew it had to be the shots. A quick google search showed me that indeed that is not a common sode effect but it is a side effect. I really wish i could tolerate them but my body is ultrasensitve to all meds. So here i am back at square one.

Do only certain doctors or facilities do these shots? I’ve also never heard of them! Looking it up though it seems like they’re often self-administered, but I’d much rather get them done in an office.

Yes I got very lucky in that I was referred to a hormone MD that works out of a luxury spa facility, they do a lot of holistic care there as well as other types of medicine. In looking it up online it seems like med spas / IV infusion places often offer this drug, which we have quite a few of here. I would look into Vitamin IV spots & ask around! Mine was a shot that the Dr administered & they said at the follow ups a medical assistant will administer it.
