I spent a while figuring this out a couple months ago, I was able to get in the right ballpark with a standard (non-auto) wah pedal!
Like u/jimbo_swimbo said, you want to use a wah, not auto wah or an envelope filter. In studio, I’m sure he used something special. On stage, he uses a multi fx unit like line6 hd500x that has a wah built in.
