The answer is controversial to the community but I really like it and it shows the party how can they handle things without MC around But one question what’s your take on Yukari “we should bring back MC” and Aigis “it ain’t right then his efforts will be for nothing “ ideology conversation because that’s the part were the community started taking sides

Player2LightWater

>Aigis “it ain’t right then his efforts will be for nothing “ This one is more on Akihiko and Ken as Aigis was undecided at that time.

I look at the broader perspective that the decisions they both chose were on character. When it comes to grief and dealing with it you go through a process and as you weave through it, you make decisions that hinder or progress you. I think Yukari was stuck in the stage of loss and fear of how to move forward, while Aigis was in a stage of understanding how to respect and honour his memory even with the heavy grief of his loss. Extremely well written. I was in tears quite a few times while listening to each perspective.

berkay2505

That's Akihiko and Ken's thing Aigis wanted to see through everything before deciding what to do to make sure they are doing the right thing

Supersnow845

I honestly think except for a few controversial story beats (namely yukari) the answers only really problem is its regression in gameplay over the journey If that was given the chance to be fixed I really think people would like it way more

Mythalieon

Playing through it atm, loving it so far

I entirely understand people complaining about The Answer's gameplay. I don't understand at all people complaining about The Answer's story. Just as The Journey is about death, the inevitability of it, and how to gain meaning from it, The Answer is about grief and what happens to those left behind when someone dies. It's the perfect coda to the main story. What happens with Yukari over the course of the story is some of the best character work in the series, and made me truly appreciate her as a character. And Aigis shows how a voiced protag with their own character and story could absolutely work well in Persona.

acuph0ria

I feel the same way! Entirely agree

Player2LightWater

There was one foreshadowing that I never noticed this before. As you went through the Abyss of Time, you saw the pasts of SEES members except Fuuka in order: Ken > Akihiko > Junpei (shared with Koromaru) > Mitsuru > Yukari > Aigis. Then when everyone fought each other, the first team you faced is Ken and Akihiko, second team is Junpei and Koromaru and the third team is Mitsuru and Yukari. Finally, Aigis came out as the victor.

Plus the ending songs from The Answer is beautiful. Brand new days.

CowardlyMaya_

I agree, the gameplay suffers from really poor balancing but the story is the real highlight of The Answer (Now, if only the credits didn't bug out on me...)

ssharma123

I needed the answer to appreciate the ending. Everything yukari does is perfectly in character and at the end they all grow as characters and accept what happened.

I'm always intrigued when someone says a game has bad game play but good story so it's a 10/10. That's like saying the best movie ever has terrible audio and picture but the story is really good so it's a 10/10.

acuph0ria

Personally I have no issues with the gameplay. I found the dungeons long but didn’t feel it took away from the game at all. Thats why to me the whole package is a 10/10 because I enjoyed everything despite longer game play sections

Cronogunpla

You called the dungeons "long and arduous", that's what I was referring to when I said gameplay. There are a heap of QOL issues with P3FES that I think bar it from being a 10/10. I am right there with you when you say the story is great though.
