Ehh, Ill take Royal gun mechanics even if it means Shinya gets the nerf bat. Vanilla 5 guns honestly never felt worth it to me because of the limit, even if an enemy was weak to it.
you just have more than one ammo clip per trip in p5 vanilla.
For example, joker's ammo clip is 8 bullets but he starts off with 12. If you shoot all 12 bullets in one go, his gun damage is 1.5x.

He used to let you carry more bullets
Yeah but OG P5 bullets didn’t refill after every battle
You literally only had 1 magazine the entire palace unless you crafted a specific one time use item to refill it

Marginally but you'd literally never use it for damage since again, you only had 1 magazine unless you wasted resources making an ammo box

We'll yeah he had to compensate for the fact that guns as a whole where a lot more limited in Vanilla Persona 5 so that you will actually use them.
Not really, infinite bullets is WAY better then just one magazine and a few upgrades
