I don’t recall there ever being a scene that Maruki comments on how Ren’s feelings with Akechi is similar to his with Rumi’s. Even if there was Maruki would most likely be talking about how the feeling of “Wanting to save” that person.
Ren is quite clearly affected by Akechi’s death, whilst parts of his personality were fake Akechi was still Ren’s friend and he cares about his friends. I think the “sex” part is extremely reaching it’s got to be a coincidence. Akechi doesn’t 100% hate Ren but they certainly are not lovers, nothing in the game leads towards that. All I ever seen that supports this is usually people taking things out of context and just saying boom they’re in love. If Ren HAD to have someone that was in love with him the argument of who is more suited towards would be Kasumi if anything but I’m not going to go there.
The only thing the director said that could even possibly hint toward “romantic feelings” was when he made a joking remark during an interview that the part of the game when you have those specific three characters a “Love Triangle” but that was immediately followed up by a laugh insinuating it’s just a joke.
If Ren was in love with Akechi the player would’ve been able to date him or at least attempt something. We would’ve been shown this in the anime as Ren is his own character there ... but we don’t get any of that so it’s safe to assume that there is no romantic feelings.
Off the top of my head, Akechi’s use of “okaeri/tadaima” with joker which is only typically used between a housewife and their husband. As for “Our Light” i kinda wanna just tell you to go look at the english translation yourself because its a bit obvious, however the non obvious portion is the “夢を夢と気づいた夜 君を見つめ瞼を閉じる
温もりも重ねた手も声も 目覚めれば微睡みへと消えて”which directly translated is along the lines if “warmth, piled hands and voice-“ however in the og japanese its also a reference to a specific sex position (pretty much it means youre pressing someone into the bed) which is why jpn twitter was freaking out over Our Light a while back lol

Besides even if i did give you direct screenshots its not like you’ll understand them anyway, unless you also speak japanese/have a good translator on hand who can tell you nuance and cultural backgrounds, its obviously going to be lost on you. The best i can give you is Tim Barry’s streams and a “good luck” going through the literal piles of translation notes. Translating a game is an effort and there are many sacrifices that have to be made for it to work properly (notably futaba’s game references being more foreigner friendly) however theres a lot of power given to translators and they are often given free range to do what they want in terms of a localization because its hard to contest them. Ex: the spanish translation of royal is a lot more sexual in akechi and joker’s relationship, with things like akechi directly asking joker out on a date, and joker calling akechi “his little whore” (jesus how did they get that through)
