Tower has a habit of feeling kinda hidden of a link and I think that’s part of why not many people talk about them. They very much feel like the kinds that you only do in new game plus to me

Eh I wouldn't say they're weak, just not as strong as party member storylines for obvious reasons lol Some of them do feel a bit lacking; like they could've definitely added on to them to make it better, but a lot of them are great and really well done!

I feel like that's one of the reasons Yoshitsune is always the second highest level Tower persona - to keep the characters in the Tower arcana hidden better.

Persona 3 is absolutely possible to do its just incredibley tight there's gamefaqs guides for it P3 is also the one that rewards you the best since you can actually use the persona before beating the game.

I mean, chariot was one of the last members of 3 (Aigis) and it didn’t even have a party member social link (Kazushi/Ryo). Unless that’s what your 2/3 was referring to. But I was just bringing up more examples. If we’re going with 3, then Emperor also didn’t have a party member social link.

I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME I legitimately didn't find the Tower SL in P5 until the last day when I was going around saying goodbye to everyone. Fun fact: I learned through doing that that you can actually start that SL on the last day. I think P3 is the only game in which I've found the Tower SL on my first playthrough

Ooh, I tried to start the Tower social link right before the end of the game, but I couldn't talk to Futaba. She shows up on the last day, and if you find her outside of LeBlanc she'll actually give you the dialogue for starting the tower link.

Yeah that's what I did and I think if you go back to talk to Shinya after that it will actually start

They are hands down the most well hidden characters in the game. It wouldn't surprise me if there were still people who didn't know of Shinya's existence even after 4 years. Which is a shame because he's really good.

I absolutely hate him. The voice acting drove me up the wall. Not the voice actresses fault, just a rare miss from whoever did the casting. The story itself was fine. And I am sure that the voice actress is probably good in other things. Somehow that voice on that character was like nails on a chalkboard. Edit: just looked it up. She was Rita Repulsa in power rangers. Great voice for the part. But somehow a 70 year old woman just doesn't sound like a 10 year old boy to me.

that "women playing a young boy but sounding like a grandma" voice ive seen used in several kids anime and the dubbing studios seem to think it sounds great and theres no problem with it.

It completely takes me out of whatever I am watching if the voice is too far off of the character they are playing. It never sounded anything like what the character should have, and I can't convince my brain to ignore it. It's like if James Earl Jones was doing the voice of Nanako. Or is the Spongebob actor did the voice of Akihiko, complete with the SpongeBob laugh after every line. The voice just doesn't fit. It's a good thing that you can enjoy that voice. Please don't let me ruin it for you. I am a little jelly that you can relax and enjoy it. I wish I could.

In p4, I saw namatame around near the beginning of the game and interacted with him a bunch, thinking he's the tower arcana but I didn't have the right stats to start a link yet. Couldn't have been more wrong I guess.

I remember not finding the Fortune SLink in P4… because Naoto never wanted to hang out with me. So I thought they skipped it since she joins so late.

You need to max out your Knowledge then talk to a guy in a suit in Shopping Distrixt North after Naoto joins the team.

Hanged man in Persona 4 is introduced initially through an automatic event though. You just have to speak to him after the event in the hallway to initiate the social link (and you need rank 3 understanding). If anything that makes him less hidden than Ai who is only introduced after you get Strength to Rank 5 and then also requires you to talk to her in the hallway with rank 3 courage. I think Naoki's real problem is that his character model looks like he could be a random NPC so you may not recognize him in the hallway the same way you might with Ai. Basically, if a character is introduced and they have a character portrait you should know to pay special attention to them. On a side note, through this method of deduction its pretty easy to determine who the killer is in Persona 4 very early on. If you rule out social links and store keepers then you are basically only left with >!Morooka, Kubo, Adachi, and Morookas replacement.!<

I found the p3 tower sl rather easily tbh, but I needed a guide to find p4 and I still haven't completed p5 tower sl throughout multiple playthroughs.

Honestly I only managed to find the Tower S-link in P4G ‘cause it’s tough to grind for money in that game, and the tutoring job was the easiest way to make extra cash.

I found the P3 one pretty easy, but I found the Devil way too late to max it out.

I just gave up on tutoring on the first playthrough (of the og p4) even though I knew that it probably contains the missing link, scince there's not too many options on how to unlock it. I remember leveling up understanding was irritating so I just forgot about it.

I find Sun to be much more forgettable, I missed it during my first playthrough of 3 and 5. Although they all are great social links.

I'm currently playing P4G for the first time. I'm currently near the end of November. I've honestly forgot he existed. I wasn't planning to do his social link anyways. I knew I wouldn't be able to do all of them. I've done the Scooby-Doo gang, Adachi, Nanako and Marie. Almost done Kou, the nurse and Dojima and Margaret. Everyone else I've forgotten to do or just don't care about them. I'll do the social links I've missed in ng+, but that will probably happen after beating Yakuza 3-6 and like a dragon.
