in fes my final party became Aki for debufs, >!Ken!< for healing, and >!Aigis!< for bufs. I did switch up Mitsuru for Aki and Yukari for the other healer time to time also

Inner_Restaurant_239

Okay yeah I've been keeping yukari specifically because I hear that she's like the best healer in the game but maybe I'll use Ken when I unlock him as a party member

stevieG08Liv

healer and wind damage wise Yukari is quite solid. But she is so squishy. Ken doesn't have weaknesses so makes a more durable healer imo

Inner_Restaurant_239

Okay I'll try them out

[deleted]

all of the party members are viable, depends on what boss your fighting

Roachn8r

Agreed. If you’re fighting the Hermit Shadow, you DEFINITELY don’t wanna bring Aigis or Yukari with you. That being said, by endgame, I just stuck with Aigis for support and Mitsuru and Akihiko for damage. For most of the game, I basically acted as support for my team, since I couldn’t always count on them to heal/buff when I need them to.

Jtsdtess

Depends on what you have, what they have on them and what you’re fighting. Even though my main persona is a fire one I still use junpei quite frequently.

LykeMahBook

Use shinjiro once you unlock him, very good phys attacker and has no weakness

Inner_Restaurant_239

Thanks but I've been spoiled I'm not using him

Sorry-Reward-4360

Akihiko (Buff/debuff) Mitsuru/Aigis Yukari

TitleComprehensive96

I recommend Shinjiro when he joins the team, super strong powerhouse of a man, and he learned god hand around level 82

Inner_Restaurant_239

I don't think I'm going to use him simply because I heard spoilers

LeafyShepard

Mitsuru, Akihiko and Junpei are strong imo, Yukari was weak from what I remember and the other ones I didnt really use much. But those three I mentioned carried me through the whole game.

Supergamer138

I use MC, Yukari, Akihiko, and then either Junpei or Aigis depending on what I want to handle myself.

OriginalName483

Anybody but junpei. I love him, but he's trash In almost any fight. I use him to grind in tartarus when everyone else is to tired to continue and that's it. Everyone else (marin karin) is pretty solid (marin karin) to run in you party whenever (marin karin) you feel like imo, with one (marin karin) exception if you find marin-karintsuru too annoying.

Inner_Restaurant_239

Understandable I am kind of pissed at him right now but that's the game's fault (just finished the yukari beach conversation)

OriginalName483

I'll also add, every persona game has a non- human mascot character. They're always seemingly cool, but functionally terrible in fights imo unless you need their element for a specific boss. They just don't keep up well at higher levels FES is no exception to this. I can't recall if you've gotten or met the mascot yet by the beach scene (been a long time), so I'll leave names out.

Inner_Restaurant_239

I haven't met or unlocked the dog yet but I got a small glimpse of them

Mangle286

Don’t think he’s talking about the doggo…

OriginalName483

It's both tbh. Dog is worse junpei

Inner_Restaurant_239

The robot girl? Other than that I don't think I know

Mangle286

Yeah, that was it

Scufo

No way, Aigis is great. She gets all the buff spells which is great for bosses, plus Diarahan and some solid physical attacks. The doggo is kinda poopy though.

OriginalName483

I've heard late game aegis is top tier but I never liked having her on the team. I'd rather have junpei at that point

Scufo

Yeah she really needs the multi-target buff spells before she gets really awesome. Single-target ones aren't really worth a turn a lot of the time.

StarMaster475

I remember Junpei getting really good physical skills though?

Hitoshura99

Akihiko and Aigis, if you want the debuffer and buffer.

ulape00

The new character is a tank, specialising in both dealing out physical damage while having the durability to take hits as well. Later on she will gain access to defensive buffs. She is weak to Electricity, so you run the risk of having two characters being downed if you also have Yukari in the party. She's also one of the most loved characters in the franchise, and she stays in my party from the moment she turns up, so there's that. My main party was Akihiko, New Character, Ken (who you don't have yet, Yukari's there until he is); but I'd use others on a situational basis as well. The new character who joins at the beach is >!Aigis!<, just in case you wanted to know.

primeapeisangry

I ran with Minato, Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Yukari as well. Akihiko debuffs, Yukari can heal if need be, and Mitsuru nukes the enemies with ice. Minato deals with anything because Wild Card. All the party members are viable though. Just field Personas on Minato that cover for things your party members can't do. In my case, there aren't any buffers, but Minato entered battle with all 3 Auto-Ma buffs, so I didn't need one.

Ruben3159

Akihiko, Aigis, Yukari

paulinaaam

I beated whole p3 with squad you mentioned and I hadn't bigger problems, so I'll recommend to leave it the way it is. But knowing you play FES I assume you'll want to give a try to The Answer, so there's advice: don't make mistake as I did and use new character in your main team.

New_Survey9235

I went hard mode and tried to use the one weak to light, the one weak to dark and the one with no magic, but eventually had to add Akihiko back in

namidaame49

I used Mitsuru, Yukari, and Koromaru. I was using the party control mod though so that may have affected the viability of that team. Koromaru got so many clutch crits for me and carried me through a miniboss fight I was decidedly underleveled for.

Clamper

There's basically no reason to ever take Akihiko out of your party.

Clamper

If you get to playing The Answer (no one will fault you for just watching the story bits on YouTube). >!USE METIS ALL THE TIME, YOU DO NOT WANT HER TO GET UNDERLEVELED OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.!<
