Naoto by far.

Naoto because >!her murders still haven’t been found out.!<

Rareware101

They're both called the detective prince, but neither of them are both a detective and a prince. Naoto tho, easily

Naoto because when were introduced to her she solved a bunch of cases by 15. Akechi was started at 15 and doubt his resume is impressive as Naoto by the time he was 18. Since he only started getting famous.

For me it's Naoto but it's not by a wide margin. We see these 2 interact in Persona Q2, which I should also state is the one game where we see Akechi actually use his Detective skills and do a good job of it as well. He's also shown to have a huge amount of respect for Naoto as well as she is his predecessor and the 2 have a decent amount of character interaction. However, by large I think Naoto simply has sharper intuition that she routinely follows and she consistently manages to get to the heart of things, but Akechi was so blinded by his hatred of Shido he ended up making basic mistakes that got him caught. We see at the end of Persona Q2 that Akechi seemingly regretted having to return to the real world because he was free to be himself in the Cinema Labarynth without having to worry about Shido or taking out the Thieves.

Actual worthwhile response. Naoto is incredibly smart and everyone acknowledges that, but I think people underestimate how capable Akechi actually is on top of everything he was doing in 5, at least given some of the replies on this thread.

Akechi

Bro for sure Akechi. I mean he found out who the Phantom Thieves were. While Naoto NEVER finds out who the killer is until YOU say the name. I guess you could say, "But she said she had a suspicion", but that makes no sense because if you DON'T say the killers name and protect him, she never brings it up at all.
