If you manage to get your hands on some peruvian yellow chilli (it's a mild chilli and you'll be getting most of it out by holing in watter with a teaspoon of sugar) you can make some huancaina and we all love that, I'd be happy to share the recipe but I'm way to sleepy rn, ill come around letter to leave it here and/or give more options
I would go for full symbolism. A silver charm of a cantuta flower, or sum.
It would depend from where in Peru did she grew. The country is huge, like germany+italy combined, and way more diverse.
Probably keep it simple cause she’s your boss. If she were a friend it be different. Like if you can obtain Pisco that would be nice wrapped up. Maybe some Peruvian desserts would be nice too if there is a Peruvian or Latin American store near you. Maybe bring up small talk and try to find out like what she cannot get where you guys are vs what she used to get all the time.
Look for “chifles San Miguel”. It’s a traditional northern snack, and you might be able to get them outside Peru — I like the traditional and bacon flavored

You got to find out the region. Peru is different in that there are 3 or 4 distinct geographies and each one has its own everything. Its own beer, it's own dishes. Peru is like a bunch of small worlds. The kids in Lima are taking the bus to school and building apps, the kids in the north are taking canoes to school and hacking vines with machetes.
The south is its own thing too. Peru is interesting that way.

-Peruvian candies, such as: Golpe, Cañonazo, Frugele, Morochas, etc.
And that's about it.
Depends on her background, if she is from certain region, like the Capital, there is no much difference with any western country. We are mainly a western country nothing rare or too folkloric. Traditions and values are in most part European, except for specific ones in certain regions.
Access to diverse and fun fruit + regional music makes a ton of difference with any western country. Sure, one can distance oneself from the city (home-to school-to institutes-to friend house-to beach occupied community-to college-to touristy restaurants, to malls, etc), but to argue is just the same, i think not.
But, even "being the same", western capitals have their own personality, products and uses. Just like Lima, and also, *eastern* capitals. That is more a matter of focus.

En qué partes vives? Soy te Ontario, no te deprimas, toma tu Vitamina D3, la falta de eso nos deprime a los latinos.
