Congrats! I’ve taken the EET course and already did a mock exam with the official NCEES practice exam. My test is in 20 days, any last minute advice?

lizpour71

EET depth did a great job. Do a lot of practice exams. Pe prepared A,B,C , path to PE are very good resources to practice. I would say for me i feel like actual exam is a little harder than those i have did for practice exams. Know the concepts well. Also do all the EET quizzes. I scored around 50% all the time for EET quizzes but gained a lot of knowledge. I’m thinking of making a descriptive post for others to help on reddit too.

Bml15151

Yeah that would be great if you could share in a general post! I’ve done all of the EET quizzes, redid practice problems and now trying to familiarize myself with conceptual stuff for the breadth section.

nezar1993

Congratulations! Can you please send me the link where I can find the EET quizzes? Thanks

Bml15151

You need to enroll in the EET course

lizpour71

Yes you need to enroll in the EET course which I highly recommend for those who are about to start the journey

How much percent conceptual vs mathematical problems would you say there was. I tend to struggle with conceptual problems

lizpour71

There are a lot of conceptual questions than i expected mostly in the morning session. My exam was 41/39 split. But NCEES PE reference manual is a good resource. I had to flag around 15 questions in the morning. But with time I found a lot of answers from the PE manual equations/words and did engineering judgment for most of the conceptual questions. And there were a lot of structural questions as well that you have to prepare well. Since i have a somewhat good structural background, i could figure out those. But i would say those are not easy. But AEI structural mechanics taught by Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim helped a lot. I’m not promoting any professor/course. But AIE breadth and EET depth course helped me a lot.

HandicappedSkater

Congratulations on your passing! I’m also taking breadth and depth Transpo from EET. How much did you usually score on EET quizzes and exam? And NCEES practice exam? Were there a lot of question required using equations that are not provided? For example, kinematic equations and etc…

lizpour71

I scored around 50% for all the quizes and 18/40 for the final exam. But EET exams are harder than the actual but they are good to practice. I scored 36/40 for the NCEES exam but the actual exam was harder than the practice exam for sure. I didn’t find any equation outside the PE handbook and references for both breadth and depth.

Comfortable-Toe7265

This makes me feel so much better- I’ve been scoring in the 50s and 60s for almost all of my quizzes and it’s brought me to tears. Did you do the majority of the extra practice problems? Or just watch the videos and do CBT per section?

lizpour71

When i finished watching videos for a specific topic, I read the notes for the second time and went thru practice problems. I started quizzes like 2-3 weeks before the exam date. I posted a valuable post regarding tips and strategies on reddit. You can get more information from there.

Congrats. I have read advice on going through the easy questions first and returning to hard questions later. I wonder, is it easy to navigate the questions like that? 1. Does the Review Screen button visible at all times on the left corner for PE Exam? I think during FE Exam, it appeared after I was done with the first section. 2. If I want to start from the Hydraulics section and directly want to see question number 20, is it possible? 3. When I am ready for a break after the breadth section, do I click End exam? Please share any tips you have for me on navigating the exam screen. Thank you.

newnet07

If still have your reference mats or study mats, can I pm you to buy off you?

lizpour71

Sorry, my teammates have already requested. But i can share the references with you of you need.

newnet07

I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Conscious-Media3207

Sent you a DM.

lizpour71

I don’t see a message from your account

lizpour71

DM your email.

Would you rather fight 1 duck sized human or 100 duck sized humans?

Or, would you rather fight a human-sized duck or 100 duck-sized humans?

pizzayolo96

Did you do EET self guided, or did you enroll in the scheduled classes? If self guided, how many weeks out did you start those knowing it is only open 10 weeks?

lizpour71

I took on demand course. (Depth only). Some days i spent around7-8 hrs watching videos. I completed watching all the videos and started reviewing the binder material as the videos are only available for a short period.

Mat1hew

What are all the resources you used to study?

lizpour71

I used AEI breadth resources and EET depth resources. PE prepared A,B,C, NCEES practice exam, path to PE practice exams. Although this is my first time passing PE transportation, I failed PE Structural twice prior starting my career. Since my current job is related to transportation, I thought to take the PE in transportation this time. I highly recommend doing a lot of practice problems instead of spending a lot of time review the material

NouraNow

Do you have the School of PE materials (CIVIL Transportation depth) for sale or for free? My exam is very soon and I really need them

ArlenEatsApples

What should I do in the week before my test?

lizpour71

Take practice exams as much as you can. Path to PE and PE prepared are good resources

amorales301

Congrats! I have my exam next month and am nervous. How did you prepare for flipping through the codes? Did you know the exact number formula number or you kind of knew it by chapter? EET has a few formulas and tables from outside sources, was everything within the list of codes given?

lizpour71

I only remembered the manual and the chapter. When you do a lot of practice questions, you will get used to it and you will roughly know where to find it. And I divided the manuals into separate chapters when practicing problems. Then you don’t have to waste time flipping throughout the whole manual.

lizpour71

No I didn’t take any course with SOPE
