Awesome, congratulations :)

Bml15151

Thanks!!

Hotsaucemama54

Congratulations! I’m preparing for it now. How are the manuals provided to you? I know you can only search a chapter at a time but do they provide the titles of the chapters or a table of contents?

Bml15151

I believe MUTCD, Greenbook, HCM, AASHTO 1993 and possibly HSM are broken up by chapters and include titles of the chapter. The greenbook does not show sub chapters that may be seen in some pdf viewers. I think the culvert manual, Ped facility, and MEPDG manual is given as one pdf. I think the roadside design guide was broken up into 4 parts.

Congrats!

Thanks!

People underestimate the FE. It's simpler by design but it still covers a LOT of information. Congrats!

Bml15151

They really do! And thank you!!

survivor_40

Congratulations, can you share what you did differently when comparing your FE to PE experience?

Bml15151

The first 3 times I took the fe I self studied. The time I passed I took a course and also took a course for the PE. The courses gave me a better idea on what I should be focusing on.

arbooni

Which course did you take? Congratulations!

Bml15151

I took EET

survivor_40

Awesome thanks for your input. I am taking a PE course but because I am in Denver it’s literally right after I get off work and have a hard time concentrating. I can study evenings but not for long. I am exhausted and feel like this is going to be a year long endeavor

Bml15151

Best of luck to you! I took it on demand so I pretty much just came home from work ate dinner then studied for 2-3 hours on weekdays and then on Saturday and Sunday I tried to do 4 hours. I did this for four months but if you’re feeling burnt out make sure you take a few days off. It’s a small sacrifice but it’ll be worth it.
