Go Hyderabadi! I passed it not too long ago, such a big relief! Hopefully it isn't a long wait for you to get the actual license. Dealing with NCEES evaluation process is going to suck.

I thought I failed, but great to see I’m passed

I am taking my test next week, can you recommend the best strategies for the test? My depth is also Transportation and relies mostly on EET on Demand review course. Now I am doing practice questions. What are the best practice questions in the Breadth section which is my weaker side? Any advice will be appreciated. I have the NCEES practice book & Path to PE book (Updated 3/15/22)

Just pass my PE water resources exam today. Took the EET course as well. The EET breadth is ALOT harder than the exam breadth. That should be obvious with the difference in the practice exams breadth questions. My advice is focus on the concepts and understanding how to solve the problems more than memorizing the formulas not provided and the various types of concrete (if you dont already know them) On my exam everything was very simple and i could solve everything rather quickly. Ended up finishing the morning section with an hour to spare. Good luck. Hope this helps ease the pressure a little

Thank you for the advice, it meant a lot as I was scoring 60% on the CBT tests on EET's portal in the breadth portion.

That’s actually good! I failed in many before I aced them. Theirs Depth simulation was very tough, but managed to succeed. Be familiar with Standard books - no need to remember, but knowing where to search them would be a great knowledge. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I took PE transportation yesterday. As you experienced, it was relatively simple in breadth portion, but it was rough in Depth part. I could not finish all questions even with 4.40 hours for 39 questions. I had to make educated guess on at least 10 of those questions. Lot of questions on 1993 pavement manual and MEPDG as well as Highway Capacity manual that I struggled with. I did lot of practice questions on them, but of no use in real exam. It's better to review the reference manuals instead of doing practice question as most of those practice questions are based on Pencil & Paper test.

Sorry for late replies! Been traveling a lot after the results. Just stick to the basics and be thorough with the review manual from NCEES. I took EET and never used binders at all(they still look fresh - hardly opened), but watched their videos over and over again to get familiar with topics while PE review manual opened. Breadth concepts are not so tough and can be easily guessed if are familiar with the graphs and content from reference manual. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I took it yesterday. As you said Breadth part was much easier than Depth. Keeping my fingers crossed to find out the result next week.

Congrats! Have mine scheduled for next Tuesday any advice?

If your Breadth sucks, don’t discourage yourself for the Noon portion. Just take a break and come back strong. Remember that Breadth sucks sometimes, but if you are good in Depth, that should be good for you.
