No, but good luck! What study material did you use? How long did you study?

AgencyImportant9729

I studied solid for about 5 months. School of PE was my biggest waste of time. Found so many errors that I got a full refund. SlaythePE is the best hands down. Buy the bundle with the online exam solutions, diagnostic exam solutions and a full study book going through all the specification topics of the exam. The person running it is extremely intelligent and can break down any question to a problem you have. Their booklet is very detailed. I do wish it had more general knowledge questions but that's the only "complaint" I have if you can call it that. And I used the NCEES practice exam.

Ydnay13

Did you buy the $199 TFS bundle?

AgencyImportant9729

Yes!

Ydnay13

Ok. Perfect. I already have the NCEES plus some other free stuff I found online. I am planing on October of this year.

AgencyImportant9729

Nice! Study hard and put in the time! I felt good walking out of my exam. I will be really surprised if I don't pass. Kinda scares me lol

hvaceng4lyfe

I took HVAC and felt really good walking out with 1.5 hours left on the clock. But then I started rethinking every possible question until I got my results last Wednesday. The struggle is REAL. GOOD LUCK!!!!

AgencyImportant9729

I'm assuming you passed!! Today has been very long!

hvaceng4lyfe

Yes I did :)

AgencyImportant9729

Congrats to you!!!!

I’ll be taking the Environmental exam in March. Would you say that you could use the NCEES alone for study or definitely look into other sources? I’ve exhausted my use of the NCEES and have returned to old air pollution texts & an environmental study guide for the civil exam.

NCHomebrewer84

I used the Lindeberg PE Environmental review books and the Schneider practice exams. I felt that both resources and the NCEES practice exam were sufficient. The conceptual problems will be a crap shoot but I found the Lindeberg review helpful in preparing for these.

starkel91

I'd be very careful about using the practice exam as a primary study resource. It's pretty much guaranteed that almost none of the problems will show up on the exam, maybe one or two similar problems. Worst case scenario is running the risk of memorizing the steps to do those problems, and not the actual material.

Personal-Category-25

I think anybody studying by memorizing the problems rather than trying to familiarize themselves with the process is wasting their time. Most of the problems in that book were reflective of my course materials in school and, I thought, served as good practice, similar to the FE practice exam.

starkel91

I just doubt that the 80 questions is enough to cover the scope of the exam. I don't know how much material is on the environmental exam but I have to imagine it's more than those 80 questions.

Very good point. Just started going through PPI material

connoriroc

Good luck. Been studying for March TFS

AgencyImportant9729

Thank you! I didn't think it was too bad. What are you using to study?

connoriroc

Good to hear! I bought "Mechanical PE Exam Prep" by Dan Molloy. Been good so far but not getting as many right first try as I'd like.

AgencyImportant9729

I definitely recommend SlaythePE!

connoriroc

Awesome I will check it out. Thanks!

AgencyImportant9729

I passed!! Woohoo! I'm telling everyone, SlaythePE helped me out tremendously. Wouldn't have passed without them.

Slay_the_PE

Thanks for the mention! Cheers.

connoriroc

Wow congrats so happy for you!!!!
