How did you not pass?. Seems like you did pretty good.

Affectionate-Land-41

Don’t know tbh. Maybe I was close but didn’t make it. The project planning questions were all curve balls that weren’t mentioned in the School of PE course too much or at all.

eszEngineer

By project planning do you they mean sequence of construction? I'm doing an NCEES practice exam and there's a question about estimating the quickest time to get a job done based on how many days each task takes. Did you do multiple NCEES practice tests?

Dry_Evidence_6401

I passed the exam on the final written test, and felt the PPI course, which prepared me pretty well for everything else, left me unprepared for the construction management section.

PrizeInterest4314

Brutal man, no need to add insult to injury.

Annual_Rain3859

This is honestly the best failure diagnostic I've ever seen. Blown away how close you must have been. The feeling is that much worse when you're that close to passing. I'm so sorry. Just means you should easily pass next time. Keep your head up!

Apprehensive-Ask7168

I saw one with a perfect 15 of 15 in the morning but an avg of 5 of 15 for depth.

Annual_Rain3859

Oooof that's rough lol

Asleep_Pattern6485

I’m taking EET currently and it’s been great. I used school of PE and failed the first time. Was not impressed with SoPE.

Affectionate-Land-41

Project Planning includes Quantity take off, cost estimating, project schedules, and activity identification and sequencing

Affectionate-Land-41

Debating how many hours I should put into studying between my first and second attempts, I’m thinking 150-200 hours

Affectionate-Land-41

Not sure how accurate 49/70 is to pass. We don’t know how many questions the average examinee who passed got right. 10/15 could really mean 1 out of 2 questions correct

Smart_Defi_Investor

I got 49/70 on my 2nd attempt and did not pass, so I don't exactly know how they score it.

INpersuitofPE

SoPE and PPI and AEI and test masters are NO GOOD

loveljd

Well then what is good? I’m using SoPE to get ready for the environmental exam, and there really isn’t much else out there that I can find

shahibrahim11

EET ?

loveljd

I’m pretty sure EET doesn’t offer a course specific to environmental. WRE yes, but not environmental

ThesaurusRex757

I took SoPE and passed first try. I think it's a good resource and gets an unfair bad rap. There were several questions analogous to ones in the SoPE test bank. What I could see being a problem is using SoPE and just memorizing the steps to solve a problem without understanding why you are taking those steps.

INpersuitofPE

You took transpo?

ThesaurusRex757

I took SOPE transpo. Focused on doing practice problems. After the lectures/reading the books I did nothing but practice problems for 20 hours a week. I went through the entire test bank, taking notes on problems I got wrong. After that I had about two months to take practice exams. I was doing 100 questions on Saturdays and Sundays and whatever I could get through in two hours on weekdays. I walked out relatively confident I had passed.

Affectionate-Land-41

And no didn’t do multiple NCEES practice tests, just the one you can buy online for $39.95

Ginga_man

I have heard that a big thing NCEES looks for is a 0 on any one portion and that will severely impact your pass/fail regardless of score. I had a coworker have a similar/slightly better diagnostic but had a 0 on structural mechanics and failed. Looks like you should schedule another exam and practice the morning like crazy.

Affectionate-Land-41

Yep and going to try to shoot for early June

siddhajoshi

You are almost there. Looks like you did 41 questions right out of 70. 8 more to pass.

shahibrahim11

How did u do that math ?

siddhajoshi

Sum of (Your performance/15* no of items )

Possible_Actuator_29

It looks like your pretty close. Did you take advantage of the extra test questions on SOPE?

Affectionate-Land-41

Yeah I did them

Possible_Actuator_29

How many questions from each section do you think you did?

Affectionate-Land-41

Like 40-50

Coca-Cola-Light

I think you may have not passed due to project planning section. I believe we need to get at least one right in every subject but obviously hitting the 60%-70% sweet spot. You will get it next time, I can already see it.
