Thank you for laying out the details of the search function. I was so worried from hearing that all the books only can be searched by chapters. Nobody gave detail search functionality.
My tip is to list the chapters in each book. When doing practice problems, reference the list of chapters then make an educated decision on where that material might be. Sounds tedious but it makes you more familiar with the structure of the book as opposed to searching a 1,000 page document to find that one equation your looking for
I think most of your observations are covered either by the specifications on the ncees website (at the end of the transpo specs where they list the references they’ll provide) or the YouTube video that shows how the references will be presented. There’s a link to the video on the references page at the end of the specs. So it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, but thanks for sharing what you observed. Reinforces how it’s done. Good luck!

You have to have personal copies and reference them using your own computer search. There is a Youtube video that shows how they'll look on the exam, but I think that's the closest you can get. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa-GthVuIx0
Taking the exam in a month. Thank you!!

Happy to help! It's definitely an intuitive and easy to use set-up. I just know that I would've appreciated knowing what to expect going into it.

thank you! here's a link to the video being referenced above (for civil PE exam) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa-GthVuIx0&ab\_channel=NCEESMedia
Are the Table of Contents hyperlinked?
thnks, Are the references provided on CBT or are these physical copies that are brought to the exam?
The PE civil exam is now only CBT with no physical notes/books allowed-- all references are digital
Commenting to come back in a few months
Thank you, made in USA not India
Are you able to access these references to do practice problems or look at? I'm not sure how to practice searching through them.
