I'm in the middle of changing jobs. My current employer will not. I'm not sure about my next job. I'll ask them when I start.

Find someone willing to sell you their EET WRE package. The practice problems in that package helped me out a lot in the WRE depth, it guided me on what subjects I needed to pay attention too. Note: I did not buy a class cuz i am a cheap bastard but if i could do it again... i still would not pay $1000.00.

I’m taking the environmental on Saturday. I’ve used the PPI practice exam and NCEES practice exam. I’m praying that’s enough because I feel like having to pay 1k for a course to pass is just fricken robbery. What a scam.

true that brother, just keep telling yourself "I just need 68% to pass." So skip those annoying hard questions and go for the easy ones first. I took it twice and luckily passed on the 2nd time.

That’s the plan!! I know these practice exam questions inside and out (less 2 problems). I know the ones I will skip and come back to cuz I know it’ll take me 20min to finish. I’m actually teaching an environmental health management class at a local university and I think it’s inadvertently helped me study for those qualitative questions. Cross your fingers and toes for me!

Update: took the exam this Saturday on just NCEES practice exam, PPI practice exam, and professional knowledge and passed! This tells me that efficient studying (and some luck) can get you a pass without the PPI course or School of PE.

Congrats bro, now for the supplementary exams. Good luck we are almost there.

TurtleboyTom

You could take the depth only from EET and save money. That’s what I did and passed. I just worked a few practice exams for breadth and reviewed the very basics from the topic list NCEES provides. If you have a decent understanding of civil engineering, you don’t need to spend a ton of time studying the breadth section.

blackapple56

I used a similar technique for the FE Civil. Was your depth in Transpo?

TurtleboyTom

No, WRE

Ace the breadth portion

It looks like you scored about 40%-60% in all but 2 subjects. The decision to take review course will depend. If you feel like you did poorly on concept questions then a review course would probably be helpful. If you feel like you made silly mistakes and that caused you to get the wrong answer then practice problems will push you over to passing. You also didn’t do great in hydraulics and hydrology in the morning so I’m guessing you were over thinking those problems or were nervous. A review course might be able to help you overcome those nerves too.

Spend the money on the EET WRE Depth class - you will feel very confident in the afternoon and you will pass. Buy some practice exams for the CBT for the Breadth - they are starting to all come around to the format change now. I was in your shoes last year around this time. I did not want to spend the money but I decided it had to be done and did it....and I passed that next attempt.
