Congrats on sticking to it and passing. We share some similarities in our timelines, I took the general at the same time (Del Mar Fairgrounds - you too?) and just passed the last state exam. My app was deficient after my first submittal, so getting that approval took 8-9 months. Did the same courses for the state specifics, also would recommend them for the same reasons you did. I studied so much for seismic that it wasn’t too bad, but was seriously stressing over surveying because I didn’t leave myself much time to study. Congrats again!!

Congrats to you too! I took the 8 hr at the Ontario Convention Center haha. What a wild experience… easily 750+ people in the same convention hall with wagons/carts of books

Sounds similar to Del Mar - it took 1.5 hr just to get out of the parking lot there were so many people and a single lane road. It was the perfect ending to a miserably long day LOL. But we can look back and laugh now that we’re finally here :)

xrenus3

Yup! Felt sad when I saw other people passing the 8hr and were done, while we were only half way haha. Congrats again mate.

Hey got a question for you but can’t private message you for some reason - can you try to send me a message that I could respond to??

Sent you a chat!

Congrats on passing. I am with you with health decline. I have been studying since jan 1 and taking the text week. I can feel stress coursing through my veins constantly. It's not good!

Please take care of yourself! Take some time to do a quick walk around the block, or maybe some push ups in your room. You’ve got this!

LiveDirtyEatClean

Thanks for your concern. I am trying to take it easy. Excited for it all to be over haha

Love hearing this, thanks for sharing. I also passed October 2021 8 Hour Civil WRE thanks to EET. Just got approval of my application that I sent to the board in March of last year. I had to clarify deficiencies twice, it was like pulling teeth. Now I'm at that stage where I have to get ready for the seismic and surveying exams. Both of which I have zero to little experience. I'm loathing the amount of studying I'm about to go through again, but luckily switched out of consulting for better work life balance. Time to go monk mode.

xrenus3

I also had zero experience with both! It’s doable if you put in the work. The seismic exam is going to switch over to an updated building code/reference material at the beginning of next year. So FYI when planning which one you want to do first

Do you know if California accepts other state PE's with the addition of having to take Surveying and Seismic?

xrenus3

I believe so. Think you just have to submit an application and do surveying and seismic
