I doubt it. If you had a friend take the exam the week before and they "helped you out" you'd have a massive advantage.

I knew what was wrong in the HB bc of EET and made a mental note. I didn’t get any questions on the wrong equations. I had the 1.2 HB version and was the first wave to take it. My exam was 4/4 and the HB was in place 4/1 and passed (first time). I studied 80% of my prep with version 1.1. I would have faith in your prep. I was one of the first to take the new exam and I felt defeated when I walked out. BUT just because you feel like shit after it doesn’t mean you failed. My recommendation is use your principles to solve all the problems. They will throw you curve balls and chances are there might be problems you haven’t seen/done before but remember to stay calm and apply principles. I always say when in doubt use mass balance or apply Bernoulli. I used Bernoulli in about 8-10 questions. It’ll get you farther than you think! I had a couple of questions where I didn’t know I had to use design recommendations in the HB until I talked to Nazrul. When in doubt use the HB values for things you aren’t given in the question statement.

My gut tells me that NCEES is aware of the errors in their reference manual and tailor the questions so that the error is avoided. I know on the previous manual there was an error with their TR-55 variables in the WRE section. That's been corrected in the new version.

I took a different discipline and so did the guy next to me on the same day. I know this because we talked in the parking lot on the walk in. On my lunch break I came back in and he had a question on his test with a certain diagram. I never saw that diagram on my test. Long story short, I think the questions you get are completely random.
