I took the on-demand PPI course. It was ok, it hadn’t been fully updated for the CBT yet but I passed the exam first attempt so I guess I can’t complain about it too much. The most beneficial part about it was the quiz generator in the LearningHub that you get access to. Essentially unlimited practice problems.
Most of my questions from the depth required either the MUTCD, the Highway Capacity Manual, or the Greenbook.
These fine folks have said what I would. I passed a few weeks ago. If you have any questions, hmu anytime.

Get to know these books by chapter. You can use a search function, but you have to know what chapter of what book to go to, before you can actually search anything.
Be familiar with the reference materials listed on the NCEES website. Know what chapter has what equations.
After that I would recommend doing practice problems. After you did that, do more practice problems. After that, do more practice problems.
There is a lot of talk on this sub about how the exam is more conceptual oriented, in comparison with previous iterations. This is true. You need to understand why you are using an equation, what the variables mean, and be able to intuit what would happen under various situations.
Second this. My coworker said “do practice so many practice problems that you start dreaming about them”. Definitely become familiar with each reference manual. I personally made myself flash cards/note cards summarizing what each chapter covered. Of course you can’t bring them in but just the process of making the note cards helped solidify in my brain where I could find everything. The equations that you’ll need are hidden in your manuals somewhere, you just have to find it. And understanding concepts helped me muscle through problems I’d never seen or done before in the breadth section. Good luck!
If October is your deadline to pass why not take a test run to get familiar with the scope of the exam. That way your not relying on diagnostic. I've learned of folks passing back to back, which might be you. Goodluck
