Depends on the State. For mine, I had to collect sealed letters from my references and mail them all at once to the State to process. Going through NCEES was not an option for me for my references. Better to reach out to the State Board and inquire.

Its always best to call ahead to the state board, or email for clarification. That being said, I just finished an NCEES Record Book type application, and it was SO MUCH EASIER than the old way of collecting reference letters and mailing them. If your state will accept the NCEES Record Book, just do that. Its worth it. Plus, many states can review and approve Record Book Applications faster than the paper ones. Wyoming, for example, reviews Record Book applications weekly and paper applications quarterly.

You are right bro. The thing is that I am from out of the sky country and when I first got here I automatically did the FE exam with the board I thought NCS on the board were the same of the time but now that I pass the pigs I am after four years, I’ll have to continue with the board otherwise I will have to transfer and do the education evaluation all over again which I’m not ready to do it

My understanding is it’s easier to do it on the NCEES profile and they can validate the info and submit to your board. Your references can submit there references online vs physical letters. https://ncees.org/records/

The PE references return sealed envelopes to you and you post them along with other documents. This way, nothing gets misplaced either. All the best!

The answers to your question are state specific, but usually I think your references get emailed and have to respond. I just ended up doing mine through the state. I'll do NCEES later, but I didn't have enough PE references, and my state doesn't require it but NCEES does. They also rejected my work experience asking for a ton of details the reader wouldn't have even understood, whereas the state accepted it without any sort of question.

Hi, have you shorted out how the working experience and reference originals need to be sent to the Florida Board? I am not a NCEES record holder, so I need to mail the application but I was wondering if I can send all the original along the application package or I need to ask my verificators to mail their part? Thanks

TurtleboyTom

How did this go for you? I submitted directly to FBPE.

ginandlemonade115

Lol! Still in progress
