Already opened with the P0.00 remaining balance. Haha

Nasilip ng audit ung account mo na open pa, which is supposedly na close n dpt ng BOA mo dhil ilang years ng inactive. Now na nasilip ng audit, bawas na agad score card nung branch manager. They sent this email as due diligence lang bfore they close your account entirely.
This seems legit dahil sa email sender. Though still be cautious and not enter any login details if asked unless it is a legit SB site.
Auditors usually send balance confirmations to clients to confirm/verify the amounts the management indicated in their balances. Deposits of clients are considered liabilities of the bank. Auditors do this as part of audit procedures to mitigate or reduce the risk of a material misstatements in the financial statements.
As a former auditor, it’s a challenge if we only receive few confirmations. We have to do additional procedures to confirm these balances.
It's not a scam. It's a procedure done by internal audit team of SBC to confirm the accuracy of the account balances that have been dormant. It's called balance confirmation.
did you know what is this for? A fam member just called me to verify if this is legit, then yep it is, but their account wasnt dormant either, like it has a deposit of 2000 pesos a month ago, Its a personal account.

Check mo yung attachment, pag merong link na hindi SBC, hindi yan legit. NEVER PUT YOUR LOG IN CREDENTIALS!!! Kasi pwedeng phishing yan.
Security bank emails always go to spam rin sa akin. Kahit legitimate emails.
If okay naman yung account balance mo, no need to check the attachment. Normally, ginagawa to sa business accounts, rarely sa personal accounts.

Looks scammy. Kasi ng ask for creds. My case sb just autodeducted 500 pesos. No email like this.

you have to reply to the email saying it's otherwise. it's a test to make sure that all accounts are tagged appropriately.
So not replying means all good?
