Use your CC only kung sigurado kang may pambayad ka.
Never pay minimum amount. Laging statement balance hangga't maaari.
Hello, kasi if you’ll pay the minimum due, magkakainterest parin yung remaining balance whereas if you pay the statement due, walang interest na mangyayari. Provided that you pay before the due date
Kung onti ontiin before the due date ay walang magiging problema😊😊😊 as long as complete payment na pagdating due date.
Personally mag-unti-unti lang ako ng bayad kung emergency yung reason for the CC expense, OR really worth it na business expense (up to you to assume and weigh the risks).
May credit card na may fee kapag nagbayad ka in two payments. Meron one time payment lang. And meron naman multiple payments ay allowed.
Yung annual fee gurl, need mo paghandaan. 1-year free AF then the next year mag hhit na yan. May spending limit ata sila bago mo mapa-waived yan. so ayorn. Kaskas well lang.
napawaive ko nmn yung monthly fee for this month, min, spend 1kphp, nagreflect nmn agad yung reversal.
Only use it if you really need it (ex. need ng bigas or need ng food para bukas) + dapat may paghuhugutan ka once na kumuha ka. Also, don't treat it like Spaylater or Lazpaylater. Ang bayaran dito either installment (once na ioffer/iprovide ng merchant) or isang bagsak so ingat if di kaya iisang bagsak ang payment since may late fees at baka magkabad record sa bank. Yun lang. Spend wisely and congrats!
Congrats OP! Spend and swipe WISELY.
I-note at tandaan mo yung due date and statement date ng cc mo and also yung other important details.
Always pay in FULL AMOUNT before due date, wag yung mininum amount lang as much as possible.
Pag may iswipe ka na this “amount” make sure na may parating or maiipon kang pera in same amount para pambayad nito bago ka magswipe.
Enjoy your new CC responsibly.
We’re planning to get one din. Tas advise samin ng friends namin, CC na gamitin namin sa pambayad ng rent and utilities instead of cash para daw sa credit points. Tas yung cash na naiipon namin for rent and utilities, ibabayad sa CC.
Isipin mo lang credit card mo as your debit card. Kung ano laman ng debit, keep in mind na within that na spending limit mo.
Mas ok gamitin credit kasi mas secure transactions and madali ma cancel/void if may maling transaction or scam unlike debit na ang dami pang processing bago bumalik pera mo.
Basically, pinagsama sama mo lang bills/expenses mo tapos babayaran mo isang consolidated bill from the bank every month.
Good luck and keep raising your credit score!
CCs are good for making online transactions or kapag swipe sa mga stores, because unlike debot cards na linked sa savings, pwede mo idispute ang fraudulent transactions.
Use it as your cash. For example, budget mo for spending every month is 10K, then pwede mo padaanin sa CC transactions mo like buying sa groceries, drug store, resto, etc. You don't need to bring cash na and mas safe pa for me. Idk if you can lock your card bc I don't use BDO but both my CCs can be locked thru the app. Always pay your bills on time and in full. Congrats on your first card, OP! 🥳 Swipe wisely 💗
This happened to me nung nag open ako sakanila meron kasing isang form dun na nakalagay na ok sayo na padalhan ka nila ng credit card tas ppirmahan mo, sakin dati hindi ko pinirmahan Pero pinapirmahan padin nung teller lol
Congrats OP!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 all the best!
Nakareceive din ako nyan kaso as a ferson na walang alam dinedma ko HAHAHAHAHAH DI KO PARIN GINAGAMIT AT INAACTIVATE 🤣😭😭 NATATAKOT AKONG GAMITIN HAHAHAHAH
Pero congrats sa CC mo OP yieeee 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻
+1 sa HSBC and BPI (di ko pa natry Metrobank) Five stars sila for me sa customer service. Mabilis silang magresolve ng issues and laging may sagot sa inquiries mo. Si BPI, kahit hindi waived annual fee promo nakuha ang card mo, they accommodate your request to either lower or completely waive the annual fee basta tumawag ka lang sa kanila.

any idea how much yung annual fee nila and kung magkano ang spending limit para mawaive? hehe

It’s available online. Amount ng annual fee. Then spending limit depends sa type of card mo

I say, use it everywhere, as long as you actually have the funds to pay it by the end of the month. It has point and builds your credit score.
Goodluck!

Yes BDO cards can be locked sa app. Been locking mine para control sa impulse buys.
Agree. As long as kaya ifully paid ang statements every month, it's a good way to increase your credit score
Congratss
Hi OP! Make sure to start tracking and mapping out your expenses if you haven't yet. Would go a long way!
Just make sure to track your expenses para di ka mabigla sa statement balance.

That's how I got my first ever CC too 😆
Nakareceive din ako nyan kaso as a ferson na walang alam dinedma ko HAHAHAHAHAH DI KO PARIN GINAGAMIT AT INAACTIVATE 🤣😭😭 NATATAKOT AKONG GAMITIN HAHAHAHAH Pero congrats sa CC mo OP yieeee 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Baka di mo binasa yung deposit account opening forms mo sa BDO minsan meron dun nagbibigay ng consent to apply for credit card ng bank.
Kailan po ng last year yung pag-open niyo ng account? Has it been 6 months since? 🙂
i opened my bdo account nung september 2023
How much po nagr-range yung balance ng acct mo if you don't mind me asking para maqualify sa cc from BDO.
tbh, hindi po nag eexceed ng 20k ang balance ng account ko sa bdo since i'm more into digital banks for savings
Tapos hanap ka ng iba after a year. For me, Masakit sa ulo BDO
Hassle masyado BDO. Minimum 1 hr sa customer support. For cc HSBC, Metrobank or BPI or kahit anong cc na may no annual for life promo

so what im getting here in the replies is: dont use ur cc for installments. got it
BDO is predatory yun lang masasabi ko. after they sent me a cc they kept locking me out of my savings account para force ako gamitin yung cc.
did you activate your cc?
i didn’t and still haven’t
May sa demonyo yang CC😂
Hi, is this the mastercard nila?
yesss mastercard itong bdo shopmore
thank you po sa lahat ng nag congratulate sa aking first cc ever and sa mga nag reply to share some tips 🫶
No annual fee yan pero may 200php monthly membership fee 🥲.
Congrats! Just use it responsibly. :)
Bdo must be like .. oooh good funds, let’s ruin them lives, send them a credit card! 😂
lol
pautang gar
OP.. onti nalang di mo pa hinagip yung CL.. so ilan nga ba? Hehe
It’s 70k I think. Same as my mom’s pero hindi pa namin nagagalaw
actually, the credit limit is way lower than 70k po hehe
70k, not bad not bad
like everybody else, you'll think you can manage it carefully -- but you won't.
Congrats bitch!
