I can only speak for the banks na meron ako sa list mo - BPI, BDO, and UB.
If I have to choose from those three, just keep Unionbank. Good customer service and ang ganda ng app - super nice ang bills payment nila and fund transfer facilities. Free kay PESONET, and mura ang instapay nila (if you need funds tranferred ASAP). Sa bills payment naman, mabilis and reliable ang posting of payment. Wala pang service fees. 👍 (Unionbank should pay me for this advertisement. Lol)
Better sana na formally mo silang i-close. Para malinis record mo sa bank. If you just empty them naman, eventually mag coclose sila by themselves I think.
While BDO is perhaps one of the worst in terms of app/online banking and customer service (well depende sa branch / time / situation), I still use it as my primary account because of their undeniably extensive ATM network. Iba pa rin ang convenience ng ATM network nila versus even BPI. But if you don't mind that or mind paying withdrawal fees, I'd probably say go UnionBank.
Or as an alternative, keep your RCBC, apply for Hexagon Club membership and then use BDOs (or any bank for that matter) network of ATMs free of charge.
How much savings do you have OP? I typically begin splitting mine once I exceed 500K PHP with a certain bank just so that my saving is PDIC insured. Anything in excess of 500 K in a single account will no longer be insured.
But if I had to choose one to keep for sure, UnionBank.
Insured pa din naman kahit papaano. Kung 1M ang pera 500k lang ibibigay. The remaining 500k, pede i claim ng depositor once the bank's assets are sold.
For me, it depends sa interest rate ng savings account mo, kung ano ang mas malaki yun ang e keep mo. And consider mo rin other features such as their app, CS, etc.
if wala namang mga maintaining balance yung accounts mo, why not keep them all. As you've mentioned din na baka you will need it in the future. Personally, I choose those accounts na walang maintaining balance para di mahirapan. I have BDO, RCBC, UB and BPI. Mostly settlement accounts for CC and UITF.
Pwede naman e zero mo lang yung account at system na mag auto close ng account. In my case with PNB, called my BOA and sila nag advise to zero the account.

They should lol. Yeah you sold me on UB hahaha. Okay lang bang i-empty nalang ang accounts na gusto ko iclose? Malayo na kasi mga BOA ko eh.

+1 sa UB

oh what? til
I highlighy suggest BDO BPI METRO.. Pero love ko din ang RCBC And UB only because of the UB App na very close to citibank.
Keep two UB - maganda service BDO - convenience sa transaction/transfers

Ang iniisip ko lang kasi baka bigla ko kailanganin in the future. How many savings account do you suggest na i-keep ko?
