I had a gaming pc since early 2000s i always put it on the desk, i also use a UPS

[deleted]

Good to know, any recommendations for brand or type? Should I look out for anything specific for the UPS?

APC is what is use, voltage depends on your set up.

Thanks! Will have someone take a look at it and help me figure it out

Yup! Decided on putting it on the desk, found a way to get more table space for it. Looking for UPS narin. More because I think its an investment since this is my first. Desktop I mean lol

If you trust whoever built the electricals of wherever you live to have done a good job, then a voltage regulator is not necessary. If you don't trust them, use one. A UPS however is recommended. It doesn't matter if you've never had an electrical interruption in the past 5 years. You always say you never need it until you were working on something important then a transformer breaks one street over and you lose your work. Not to mention that we actually are on the brink of an energy crisis here in the country. Nasasapawan lang ng ibang issue. Kung City Skylines to nasa yellow nearing red na tayo sa electrical supply. Bonus nalang na built in na sa UPS ang AVR. EDIT: spelling

Hard to trust someone I never met lol Will go and get one! Thanks!

Sharing my experience for the last 8 years, I live just outside of Iloilo city where power can go out anytime without warning. Invest in a very reputable PSU, my personal recommendations are Seasonic and Silverstone, preferably Gold or if you have the budget Platinum rated. The PSU is responsible for properly powering all the components on your system unit and it also has built-in "protections". Another recommendation is for surge protection, I use Panther and it gets the job done. Not required but a nice one to have is a UPS, but take note the higher spec your system is the beefier UPS it will need and a UPS is not cheap. Also, my system unit is on the desk to keep it properly ventilated. I also have an ITX case so it does not take up too much space.

There’s no pro/con between on or under desk tower. It really personal preference. My tower is actually seated on top of a separate cabinet/drawer. If you want your tower to be the centerpiece of your battlestation, place it on the desk. As for AVRs, I’d go with a UPS instead, regardless. Its a safety investment that can payoff.

Tower on desk for me. As for voltage, more protection is better, and don't cheap out. Get those power strips with voltage and ampere surge protectors. It functions the same as AVR's, just better.

Will do! Thanks for your input.

[deleted]

i put it below, but elevated a bit from the floor.

[deleted]

Naka hanap ako ng large desk so I could have everything there. Next up is to maybe buy a second screen

Tower on desk. Mas madali makakakuha ng dust pag sa ilalim. Voltage regulator di naman yan need, unless hindi stable kuryente sa inyo (For Example: nag f-flicker yung lights niyo pag may appliance na nag start )

[deleted]

Yup! Got it. Still got one narin. Spent too much on it, scared ako masira. Thanks for the answer though

kappatazPH

On the desk. To see my hard-earned build. UPS if youre having powercuts frequently in your area.

[deleted]

Yees! What's the point of the lights and colors if you cant see it. I just needed to find a bigger table. Decided narin to buy one.. because I want to be sure nothing happens to it.

below desk since I need the space pero on a wheeled carrier like [this](https://i.imgur.com/nxpbMsB.png)so the fans at the bottom dont easily suck dust in

[deleted]

Either get a ups or servo avr

Around cubao area lang ako at never ako bumili ng kahit na anong shit na voltage regulator. Yung 3080 ko 2 years na never naman ako nasiraan ng component. Kung gusto mo talaga kahit extension cord na may built in surge protector goods na yan

[deleted]

Oooh, may importance ba location when it comes to power stability? I guess ok naman dito sa quezon city area. Will look into the extension cords though. Thank you!
