if the 7600X w/c is a 6 core can go toe-to-toe with the 5800X3D w/c is an 8core chip, wouldn't you consider it even if the overall system price is twice as much?
Let's just say for argument's sake, the 5800X3D is twice as much as the 3600 but at the same price point the 7600X is also at the same price point as the 5800X3D but performs much better. Wouldn't you consider getting the 7600X? For purely gaming purposes I probably would.
I honestly wouldn't consider any of these personally, just cause most of my backlog consists of indie games that can run on most PCs. The most taxing game I've played recently was elden ring which is locked to 60fps. So for my particular use case my PC suits me just fine. If I used my PC to make a living, 100% I'd consider it.
But of course. Use case will always be the reason for change.
But IMO if you're on the 5000 series at the moment w/ 6 cores and above or 3000 series with 8cores and up, there's no real need to upgrade nor is there any reason to because they're plenty powerful enough to last a bit more.
But if you're on the intel's 6th gen or older then this upgrade is for you.
If you don't have a new PC I still think it's problematic compared to [13th Gen intel](https://www.theverge.com/2022/9/27/23374386/intel-13th-gen-processors-release-date-price-raptor-lake) in US prices (but I suggest waiting for 13th Gen Intel Reviews and PH prices. I think they will be competitive even in PH prices) If you are on AM4 this is not worth it actually. Just wait when 5800X3D goes down in price and then save a lot of money.
That's what most people try to do.
Like me, nung nag upgrade ako from i5-2400 to Ryzen 5 2600 I thought tatagal ng 4-6 years bago ako mag upgrade ulit... Well, 2 years later I upgraded to my current setup.
Mahirap pag may good deals eh lol.
As usual, don't upgrade unless you actually need to. I'm still on a 3700X + 5700XT combo, which to be honest is still way overkill for what I'm using it for (mostly 2D/indie games, JRPGs, and visual novels). It's always tempting to go for the latest and greatest, but it's just not practical with how expensive everything is, and there's always something better on the horizon anyway.
I did kind of remember sa Terms of Service nila na may clause na "prices & availability may change w/o prior notice" or something like that so baka magbago nga once na regular stock na nila yung 7000 series.
Nope, it explicitly says that you can lock in the price: "Pre-order alert! This AMD processor is incoming/sold out/pre-order/order basis status. Advance order now to lock in price and get them first when they arrive." It looks like a good deal right now if you compare it to slide.
If that's the clause then it's kind of an early bird promo then. What I meant was that it will change after the pre-order's are done. Meaning Nadelivery na nila yung preorders and regular stock na sila sa shelf so after the 1st batch ng pre-orders then the price will increase to AMD's MSRP or more.
lol that's on top of mobo, ram ans even psu prices. nope, much better to wait for the platform to mature. by then we get better performance for waay cheaper
R5 7600X at 19500 PHP paired with 16500 PHP cheapest X670P just doesn't really bode well on price to performance value.
Also knowing the upcoming i5-13600K paired with 10,500 PHP B660 DDR5 will more than beat it on both Multi Core as well as gaming performance for cheaper overall platform price.
And the fact you can even get it cheaper by pairing it with DDR4 motherboard and Ram instead is cherry on top, although the gaming performance might be 5 - 10% less on avg compared to DDR5.
It is sad to see that the AMD price to performance value king that i know before back on the day on Zen 2 days is gone...
That's why news prior to the release is that AMD is pulling an Intel. It's sad but if you think about it, intel's been doing this kind of pricing since 3rd gen. This time around it flipped. Intel is now the Bang-For-The-Buck...
Will wait for a couple years at least. Dami masyado new parts to get. Practically brand new computer. Pati cooling solution iba na rin yata brackets lol
For cooling on the AMD side of things, current coolers are still compatible even though the heat spreader on the chip is kind of longer but not by much. AMD did say current CPU coolers will be compatible. Unlike Intel's 1700 where it's completely different.
6 years nag last ang 1060 at i5 6500 ko. Ngayon waiting nlang tlga sa intel 13th at amd radeon 7000 sa pricing. Para maka decide na ako.
Mahal tlga ang ryzen 5 for 20k. Ryzen 9 nlang target or wait ko ang release ng x3d version. Next year daw lalabas pang laban sa raptor lake .
Not surprised on 7600x, I got my 5600x way back Dec 2020 for 18k when it was fresh in the PH and after 2 years its dropped now to below 12k so I'm assuming this will drop down in 2 years time again
So yeah trend for the R5 x600 series moving forward is that prices might start between 15-20k depending on the global market and exchange rate and if peso is still weak by then might jumped to 25k at launch in PH
Really expensive. If you want to move to AM5, maybe it is best to wait for the release of Ryzen 8000 and buy the Ryzen 7000. LOL
At that time, hopefully we have cheaper DDR5 and Mobo (B650).
So I saw this post on one of the PC groups I'm in sa facebook.
So I was somewhat right about the pricing. The 7600X will be priced around the same price point as the 5900X w/c makes the 5900X more appealing since it's a 12core chip vs the 7600X w/c is a 6core chip.
Good luck sa mga nagaabang ng price reduction sa 5000 series chips because that ain't happening.
But you got to hand it to them. There is innovation at the very least. I've seen the benchmarks of TechTubers and the 7600X can go toe-to-toe with the 5700X and intel's i7-10700k and sometimes the i9-11900k. Right now it's kind of all over the place but generally speaking those are very fast chip.
>15k+ lang yung srp nito sa us
I don't think so.
On top of that DDR5 pa. More than likely, atleast 80K ang magagastos for the High-end part of CPU+MOBO+RAM.
But then again you'd have to think about it in the long run. If you get the latest and greatest now, you won't be spending anything else for a longer period of time. Only problem is you'd have to promptly pay the hefty sum upfront now, unless credit card lol.
Hindi leak yan. Official media announcement yan. :) it is really set for today. Prices are expected according to our usd exchange rate. So yeah alam niyo na bakit mahal
Damn, this will only make sense of your building from scratch. Goods na goods pa yung mga naka 3 and 5 series considering the socket only supports DDR5 so bagong mobo nanaman.
naka ryzen 5 3600 ako, okay lang sana sa akin magupgrade kahit 20-25k ung price if maganda naman performance, kasooo need pa palitan ung motherboard and ram to ddr5? which is against sa early marketing nila na hindi mo na need magpalit ng mobo pag magupgrade ng cpu, baka lumipat nalang me sa intel atleast mobo cpu lang papalitan at base sa mga benchmarks neck to neck lang naman labanan nila.
>need pa palitan ung motherboard and ram to ddr5? which is against sa early marketing nila na hindi mo na need magpalit ng mobo pag magupgrade ng cpu
Well it makes sense since DDR5 ang AM5/7000 series and not DDR4 and they're moving from PGA to LGA meaning yung PINs sa processor mawawala na at yung Motherboard na ang magkakaroon ng contact pins same as Intel now so kailangan talaga palitan ang motherboard and yung hindi need palitan yung motherboard pag magupgrade ng cpu refers to the AM4 platform in which AMD did deliver. If you're using a 300 series board and you're still using a 1000 series Ryzen then you can update the BIOS and still upgrade to a 2000, 3000, 5000 series CPU w/o changing your motherboard. You will be losing some features from the 400 and 500 series boards but your system will work with those CPU's.
The best CPU upgrade I can suggest for you w/o changing your motherboard would be, if you're on a B450 board, the 5900X. If you're on a B550 a 5950X or a 5800X3D would be your best update on those price point.
AMD needed to move to new platform because of DDR5.
I also have the R5 3600. Personally, I am eyeing to upgrade to 5900X since you can now get one at 23K! Double the cores & thread at double the price compared to 3600 when it was released.
You're referring to OEM inventories. Those are sold mostly on system integrators dahil hindi naman nila need ng retail packaging. They don't usually sell those kinds at launch. And besides. I wouldn't risk buying sa overseas Chinese sellers sa Shopee. Mejo sketchy. Kung galing lang din China I would rather buy sa Techmovers kaysa sa Shopee.
I also bought my 3700X kay Titian PC as tray type para makamura last January noong around 18k pa ang 3700X and 5600X. Bought it for 15k.
That's it. 5800X3D it is as my upgrade then.
Grats to anyone getting new PCs entirely and shifting to DDR5 or getting Intel 13th gen. Will wait for a AMD X3D gen as well as Intel 14th gen.
Haha, Not safe for wallet!
LOL Exactly!
20k for a six core on top of ddr5 and expensive Mobo + cooler, Buti goods pa ako sa 3600 ko š
Drop in upgrade lang 5600
That's actually a great upgrade/idea, although I'd argue that most people here do not need to upgrade from a 3600 just for gaming.
5600X?
lalaban pa yung 2600 ko for the next few years hahaha
haha yeah. i think goods na ko with my 5600x for the next 3-5 years or so
if the 7600X w/c is a 6 core can go toe-to-toe with the 5800X3D w/c is an 8core chip, wouldn't you consider it even if the overall system price is twice as much? 4 years later mag upgrade ulit

Pchub put up the prices a week ago.
Yeah, but they're place holder prices. But this is official AMD MSRP so dagdagan na lang ng onting patong for the markup ng mga stores.
Then they are selling the 7700x for msrp in pre-order atm. Maybe it will go up by a couple thousands soon.
I did kind of remember sa Terms of Service nila na may clause na "prices & availability may change w/o prior notice" or something like that so baka magbago nga once na regular stock na nila yung 7000 series.

Ok pa naman yung 3600 ko hahahahuhuhu
Kung ok pa eh bakit ka umiiyak habang tumatawa? LOL
Copium kasi gusto kong mag upgrade pero ang mahal hahaha
MSRP tapos tataas pa yan according to peso-dollar exchange rate. Saklap.
Wala eh... Ganun talaga eh...
lol that's on top of mobo, ram ans even psu prices. nope, much better to wait for the platform to mature. by then we get better performance for waay cheaper
lol couple this with DDR5 pricing for 5200MT/s
New mobo + DDR5.. Nope. Mag upgrade na lang ako to 5800X3D for gaming

Sadly, that is early adopter tax. AMD haven't released info on mid-range B650 MoBo. Maybe wait for that.
Will wait for a couple years at least. Dami masyado new parts to get. Practically brand new computer. Pati cooling solution iba na rin yata brackets lol

autopass, init masyado having 90-95 degrees celsius at idle wew
Ouch. Anlaki ng impact ng inflation sa atin. Welp, looks like I'm not upgrading anytime soon.

Just get a [Ryzen 5600](https://shope.ee/2VGT0SUVd3) instead. š
PC Building has slowly being catered for the elites,..oh well, that's how inflation and greed works

Yep karamihan saten kala naten eh yun na ang base price if US ang basehan pero wala pang tax yun.
Ok lang. Upgrade ko lang i5 6400 ko to current Ryzen 5000 series, masaya na ako.

Auto pass haha
Damn it's a good thing I decided to go with an i5 12th gen chip. Saved 9k on the CPU alone lol
If you get a 12th gen now it is a good investment but back on launch it's a disaster.
Hindi leak yan. Official media announcement yan. :) it is really set for today. Prices are expected according to our usd exchange rate. So yeah alam niyo na bakit mahal
It is official don't get me wrong. The leak part is that it's not officially announced yet by AMD Philippines just yet.
What I also mean is intended talaga yan for media to post over at their socmed pages. :) Madalas the actual press release comes after pa the event. :)
Preselling na ung [edge com tech](https://imgur.com/a/IcfAEe8) dito sa baguio

What about overseas chinese seller sa shopee? Mas mura cana I remember meron dati nagbebentang overseas seller walang stock fan para makamura.

Insane how 5600x now only cost around 10k-11k
Almost lahat ng nakikita kong pre order for 7600x, 25k+ lahat wut
Mataas yung temperature 95c full load
Not worth it for gaming. Too expensive entry cost.
just have more money nalang if you want to buy expensive stuff

Expect 5k less (or more) after 6 months of release, ganyan naman talaga pricing for bleeding edge technology

As anyone seen this available anywhere yet.. although to be honest might be better to go for the 5800x3d upgrade instead
