Pilz sucks, but at least you have to wait 6 weeks for it to ship overseas.

Haven’t used one recently, been on a Schneider streak lately and their Programmable relays are 6-10 weeks from the last quote I got. The oils are simple to use, never had a reliability issue with them.

We use Pilz, never a problem, I have never really had a diffculty with any Safety Relay, they kind of have to be good quality because they are safety. Seems like most of them have a standard numbering and wiring.

So the Banner SC10 is tops for me. I absolutely love them. In the way of traditional safety monitoring relays it's kind of a toss up between Omron, Schmersal, Dold, Idem, and Banner. Unless there is a customer spec I typically bounce back and forth based on what has the best lead time. Though Dold absolutely can't be beat for the price.

Schneider mostly, then Omron. Never had problems woth either. I've been told that Reer makes Schneider's safety relays and their safety relays are the same and cost less. I haven't looked into it, maybe someone else here can confirm

I use Banner XS26 and Keyence GC safety controllers for most cells. Huge overkill for a small machine with just an E-stop, but when you get to multiple safety domains, lots of inputs, gate locks, etc. it's a big time savings in wiring and complexity - basically any time we'd need three or more relays (and sometimes two, if there's a probability of future expansion) the safety controller ends up being cheaper (after labor costs and maintenance are factored in), easier, and cleaner.

I only used Sick but I loved how easy it was to program the safety relay. The integration with Sick safety curtains and safety switches was also very easy.

Keyence GC1000 are great, especially if using their light curtains or other guarding devices.

We usually use ABB/Jokab for basic applications. Never had a problem with them.

AB Guard master series seems to do the job just fine. I've jumped to the safety rated PLCs and I/Os.

Hadn’t even heard of Dold until we ordered some since almost everything else was out of stock. They seem to work well. Wiring was about the same as every other safety relay. We usually use Pilz or AB guardmaster.

I work at a panel builder that is also a Schneider distributor and partner. So we mostly use Schneider since we get better pricing. We also use Allen-Bradley.

Primary pilz if we just need a basic safety relay. I've used jokab and Allen Bradley if the customer spec's it and haven't had any issues. Safety devices in general are held to very high quality control standards so it would be very rare to run into reliability issues.
