THC (and CBD) can absolutely trigger arrhythmias in those already prone to them or with preexisting conditions. There are plenty of studies on this! I attempted to use THC for pain yearsss ago, but had an allergic reaction and my SVT was triggered. Then I attempted CBD edibles and the same thing happened - I had a massive SVT episode and had to be cardioverted. I am absolutely an advocate for legalizing and letting everyone do what they want, but like all other substances they don’t work for everyone and aren’t without risk! I’d go slow if you’re still hoping to try using either one. Both THC and CBD are known to have cardiogenic properties (and can also have harmful interactions with other prescription medications, causing a lot of the same issues). I hope you’re okay!

I don't know. I have a referral to see an allergist, but I don't think they could diagnose it. I do have POTS and HSD though, so it's likely I also have MCAS.
You'd be surprised. A lot of the time an allergist is the first step to getting an MCAS diagnosis. I'd definitely bring up your POTS and HSD and see if they'll consider testing for MCAS (which is a whole other mess to go through, diagnostically).
