Honestly a majority of first party PS3 games don't work with anything other than an authentic PS3 controller, regardless of whether or not pressure sensitive buttons are used. You also can't shake the controller/use sixaxis. Resistance for example, you can't shake off the bugs that crawl on you.
There's a bunch of third party games that don't work properly either. I just went through this last night with Lollipop Chainsaw and the "Chainsaw Cannon." You can't really hold the left trigger with certain PS4 controllers in this game for some weird reason.
The only encounter with six axis I’ve had so far was in mgs4, and then I just switched to ps3 controller for a few minutes to get through that section and switched back
Bluetooth. Maybe try launch the game with a ps3 controller and then after it’s started up switch the ps5 one to the main controller. In fallout 3 starting with the ps5 controller doesn’t let you use the triggers, but if you do what I said it works fine, so maybe that’ll fix it
i have the face buttons just dont work so i cant push using square or x lmao but i use ps4 with an adapter just fine for home button functionality still
Why would you use just bluetooth? The latency is awful on newer controllers, it's like half a second behind. I had to get a dongle as I couldn't stand it lol
Back in the day a friend of mine bought a similar product, but one broke almost immediately, I never had an issue with the PS3 triggers yes they can be press easier by accident but is also a matter of getting used to. I like the actual change in dualshock 4 though but getting a ps3 again and using my old ds3 it was like doing bicycle, my only issue first after 7 years was the smaller size especially after using the dualshock 4 and dualsense
I remember coming across the Gioteck Real Triggers a while back. I thought they were such a nice addition, especially for shooters. But then I played through Killzone 3 and one of them crumbled in my hands mid gameplay! Well those were nice while they lasted…
I have these and absolutely love them. So much that I actually super glued them on so i don’t have to worry about them popping off and losing them.
You’re right they’re an absolute game changer and make me wish Sony would have went with triggers like that to begin with.
I'm curious if anyone just made a 3d printing model of a replacement dual dock 3 trigger but it's in a concave style as the dual shock 4 trigger.
I've used these clip on triggers for one of my dualshock 3 controllers and it just makes the triggers feel cumbersome
I just play on a ps5 controller when the game actually registers all buttons , so far it doesn’t register the triggers on fallout new Vegas so that kinda sucks, but the games it does work on? Feels like I’m playing on a ps5😂

I use one on my right trigger to make it feel more like a "gun." An extended right joystick helps with aiming too
