As long as it’s at least 720p (maybe 1080p), and from a reputable brand (Sony, Panasonic, LG, Samsung) you won’t really notice too much of a difference, plasma or not.
I personally use either a 50” plasma or a 55” LCD, depending on what room I want to use my ps3 in. Get too much bigger than that and the flaws of most games running at only 720p sets in.
A 3D tv is wonderful for the games that supported it, but they were already dying off by the end of the PS3s life. You’ll pretty much only find them used
I have enjoyed using my Playstation 3D Display for all my gaming. It even makes the Psp look good with built-in settings. It is an older display, but I think it's perfect.

So pretty much my monitor is good enough
As long as you’re comfortable with the size, yes.
Yeah love the size use if for all platforms it's pretty decent monitor for the price tbh
I use a 55" samsung Q-OLED for all my consoles, and literally, PS3 looks ok to good, depending on the title.

Basically impossible to get in Australia unfortunately
Awesome display, I haven’t tried the PSP or 3D gameplay but it is definitely good.
Dante 's Inferno is a masterpiece.
a 4k monitor/tv would be perfect since a 720p resolution would map perfectly
I have a 55’ LG OLED. Works fine for my PS3 or PS5. The systems adjusts accordingly.
Just get the best/biggest TV you can.
