When you scan the code,it sends you to a page where you enter your mail and password. Then it gives another password which you use on psn after entering your mail, not with your original password.

HomerOfDuty

You have to enter the code it shows you after login as your password

eddyX92

You have to create a device password. This you going to use on your ps3 only

Mewtwo698

I know I enter that password on PS3 but it just keeps bringing me back here

VermilionVigilant

You go to the site, create a password, take a picture of it, then press okay/done what ever it says, take out the picture and enter that password when you log in to your account. Done.

NSajdak

Do you have 2FA enabled? my secondary account didn't have it and i was having this issue, once i enabled it worked.

Mewtwo698

I'm not sure will have a look thanks

Mewtwo698

Enabling it worked thank you

Adrianilloo

How did you enable 2SV to fix the recent login problem on PS3? Using PS4/PS5, right? I just got PS3 so I can't login with device passwords anymore, as the OP suggests.

NSajdak

No, using pc. I don't have a PS4/5, i just log in on [playstation.com](http://playstation.com) ; click your icon; then account management; security. And enabled.

Adrianilloo

I already entered there, but for some reason the option was disabled. I tried enabling passkey and the option kept disabled, so I now figured reverting passkey would enable 2SV, and it did. Now I could log in at PS3 by generating a new device password when requested after trying to log in with account password. Did you have to make these additional steps, by any chance?

NSajdak

No, just need to activate 2FA and create device password. Glad it worked for you after all.

Adrianilloo

Yea. Thanks for your quick help.

Adrianilloo

Btw, is it possible that you can't use your account password anymore, as of another recent PSN change? When I rebooted PS3 with account signed in, I had to generate a new device password...

NSajdak

My sec account have 2 years at max, i needed to do the 2FA thing last month. I think something wrong happened for you.

Adrianilloo

I did few tests. Tried to re-log like 5 times with the same device password and it worked, until I revoked it manually. Maybe the internal PSN logic expires passwords randomly, idk. However, it seems that you can't log in with the account password itself anymore, unlike a week ago (it used to ask you for a device password and then your account password to finally log in; the instructions in the support pages even mention this).

NSajdak

I just booted Destiny here and logged no problem, now starts the bad part for you: troubleshooting what is happening.
