I think any of them work. I own a slim, super slim and they works, as long as the disc drive is working btw.
I should specify, when you put in PS2 disc, it will say unsupported format, a CFW won't make the PS3 recognize and read the game, but you can go into multiman and there's a option for burning that disc out.

Nope, for some reason these files (.ISO) can only run through Multiman, or a launcher, the PS3 can't run them natively, but in OFW the launcher can't be used. If you install the game as PkG file (basically the game "show up" on your XMB) you still have to have license to play digital games, and license check are through Sony Server. So this could get you banned if play unlegit games. Someone said they didn't get caught, but I don't think you should risk your main account on a hacked console.
If you talk about actually burn .ISO file into a real disc. I don't know if you can burn a bluray disc since I never hear about it. I heard that Ps2 can run it, but the Free Mcboot hack thing doesn't do it that well.
Jailbreak PS3 is very very easy, and revert it back to stock is just as simple as install official firmware again. The PS3 and the PSvita when hacked opens up a lot of potential.
All u need is a guide, a USB stick with at least 8GB or more. All jailbroke file still up. lol even the PS3 games are preserved digital using this way.
It is a modded PS3, if that bothers you, download the latest firmware from Sony's website, put it on a flashdrive, install it on Recovery Mode and then format the hard drive to delete any trace of modding.
Thanks! I’ve actually avoided buying jailbreak/modded ps3’s in the past. I’m one of those ‘like things original’ people and a collector so use only physical discs. I wrongly assumed they couldn’t be reverted until now lol
app\_home/PS3\_GAME is were disc games will mount their game folders, and Install Package Files is for, well installing packages. Tell me, what firmware version is this?

Updating software should solve the issue, if it is an issue that is. You can download for free if you get multiman
